This poll is to see if GW has tapped into a marketable area or if they are just throwing around set
I essentially just want the set if it's good, what's your thoughts on it?
Well good news for some of us! And maybe not so good for others.
But either way look forward to new space wolves in the coming month.

This isn't news, or a rumour.

Thank you for the thought time and effort but this is being discussed elsewhere on the news/rumour board.

If one so desires then 40k general would indeed be most suitable location to discuss the affects or ramifications etc of this release.

Damn, I was really hoping for Blood Angels. That's about all I have for this release until we get more info.

Thought for the day: Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
30k Ultramarines: 2000 pts
Bolt Action Germans: ~1200 pts

Your poll lacks an option for 'old player who never played Space Wolves and doesn't plan to start.' So I voted 'Don't Care.'

You missed the "going to wait" option.

I'm an old SW player who is going to wait until it comes out, read through the book, look at the new models and decide if I want it.

SW are one of my favourite armies, they were the first 40k army I collected (after Lizardmen in WHFB), however I've not touched them for a while and given how disappointing I've found GW releases of recent times, I'm going to wait.

Space Wolves would have been my third army if I stayed in 40k. I was planning a SW descendent chapter. Black and red color scheme.

Also, check out my history blog: Minimum Wage Historian, a fun place to check out history that often falls between the couch cushions.

I think this will be good for new players who dont know whether they want to play space marines or orks without going vanilla. I like it. Maybe this will get you back into it!

I admit this is VERY tempting to get and start up a Wolf army. VERY tempting, and I say that as someone who has basically swore off 40k for a decade now.

I didn't like space wolves and already have a lot of armies but this set got me thinking if I should start SW or just add those to my existing marine armies (CSM or Ultras)

unless they go in there and do a massive redo of almost their entire fluff, no. I like some of the SW models, I like the imagery of the runed power-armored super soldiers, but I just cannot stand anything about the SW's fluff, and couldn't bring myself to get into them.

IMO the inquisition showed uncharacteristic mercy when they spared the SW from being declared heretic and virus bombing them into oblivion.

Of course one does wonder whether it had more to do with the sheer numbers of Wolves who would have been immediately at war with humanity had the inquisition made that choice than any real innocence.

I am a player and I feel it will help other get back into it, I would also like some orks to paint, as they will be m first.

Their fluff is great, space Viking who are half wolf! what's not to love lol!

Yeah I feel the price will be around the Dark vengeance set! and that could put some people off.

My main gripe is that there will be one unique character in the box set which will only be available in that set! And that will be my only real reason for getting it..
