This massive creature shows up quite a bit in fluff and it can be easily represented by a modified Hierophant.
Tyranid Dominatrix
Unit Cost: 1500 points
Unit Type: Gargantuan Creature
Unit Composition: 1 Dominatrix
WS:7 BS:5 S:10 T:10 W:12 I:3 A:6 LD:10 SV:2+/4++
Special Rules: Psyker (Mastery Level 5), Fear, Fearless, Psychic Monstrosity, Brood Mother, Ultimate Synapse, 5+ It Will Not Die
Wargear: 2 Hierophant Bio Cannons, 4 Scything Talons, 2 Lashwhips, Regeneration
-Psychic Monstrosity: The Dominatrix projects a Shadows in the Warp Field of 24 inches, gives her controlling player +1 to all DTW rolls, and makes opponents reroll successful Invul saves against her attacks.
-Brood Mother: The Dominatrix does not need to be part of a unit to Look out Sir! wounds. Instead the Dominatrix may LOS! (3+ not 2+) wounds to any allied Tyranid models within 6 inches
-Ultimate Synapse: The Dominatrix has a synapse range of 36 inches, and Tyranids within her Synapse have the Feel No Pain USR.

Finally found my quote from a gym buddy born and raised in South Korea:
"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
"It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
"It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
"It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag." |

I like big models and I cannot lie.
Like the undercosted Avatar you made.

The invul re-roll does not make any sense, as it really is not a warp thing.
Also, I'd tighten up the wording on the DTW thing, is it only within that bubble, or all around?
The improved LOS thing is insane. Put a couple of cheap broods around it and all of the sudden, it has about 60 ablative wounds.

No Invul saves are a psyker thing. Tzeentch rerolls all 1s on invulnerable saves because it's his thing for example.
The language is fine. Stop trying to overcomplicate things and what is intentioned is clear.
That ability is a little much. Automatically Appended Next Post: Ashiraya wrote:No reason to attack back, I did not attack you.

Compare it to An'ggrath, the Greater Brass Scorpion, or Baneblade variants.

Ang'grath is overpriced. I do not know the rules for the GBS, and the Baneblade variants do not have nearly as short threat ranges.
Plus, it was written for 6th edition, where a Warhound could kill it in a shooting phase.

I'd agree, forcing people to re-roll invulnerable saves makes no sense to me. Invulnerable saves are not ''A Psyker Thing'' in the slightest, some maybe, but just as many are granted by technology. For example, why on earth would would this colossal bitch force my Archon to re-roll my Shadowfields because she is having a Psychic Hissy Fit? I'd also agree the wording is weird, or at least unclear, does she grant the +1 Deny to EVERY ROLL ON THE TABLE or just to when the attack is targetted at models within her range and does this effect denying blessings?
I'd suggest dropping the re-roll forcing and go along with the Psyker idea, for example how about if a Psyker is trying to manifest within 24'' of her they manifest on a +1, usually on a 5+ rather then 4+. Also, thought you might want to know, but SitW does nothing now...
FTR, what did you hope to gain by bringing an utterly irrelevant creation of someone elses into this? That's not fair, as you keep on saying that people judge your creations based on...unsuccessful previous threads and they prejudge your ideas. Leave the past in the past, leave your hypocrisy at home.

I would cap the wounds at W10.
Special Rules: Psyker (Mastery Level 5), Fear, Fearless, Psychic Monstrosity, Brood Mother, Ultimate Synapse, 5+ It Will Not Die
I don't see why it should be a Lvl 5 Psyker. That's even stronger than Fateweaver or Eldrad, 2 of the most powerful psykers in the game. I'd max it at Mastery Level 4. Also, It Will Not Die is already 5+.
BTW, did you factor in the scything talons and lash whips into her Attacks yet?
-Psychic Monstrosity: The Dominatrix projects a Shadows in the Warp Field of 24 inches, gives her controlling player +1 to all DTW rolls, and makes opponents reroll successful Invul saves against her attacks.
What do you mean by "her attacks"? Are you talking about shooting or assault or both?
-Brood Mother: The Dominatrix does not need to be part of a unit to Look out Sir! wounds. Instead the Dominatrix may LOS! (3+ not 2+) wounds to any allied Tyranid models within 6 inches
Too strong. Imagine if you have an Endless Swarm around her. She would be near unkillable, especially since she's already T10, 2+/4++, NFP and IWND.
-Ultimate Synapse: The Dominatrix has a synapse range of 36 inches, and Tyranids within her Synapse have the Feel No Pain USR.
Too strong. She can potentially give the entire army FNP. I'd reduce it to 36" Synapse and 12" FNP. Keep in mind that she will most likely be on a large base so that the 12" radius is actually bigger then it would be if it came from a normal unit.
For such a large and expensive creature, her offense is somewhat lacking. I would give her some additional weapons as well. Otherwise, I can't see her making back her points very easily:
Energy Pulse: Hellstorm, S10, AP2, Heavy 1, Torrent
Spore Cloud Spray: 48", S7, AP4, Heavy 6, Skyfire

Invulnerable saves are meant to be the result of invisible forces, most commonly warp energy.
Again shown by the ability of Tzeentch daemons to re-roll 1s.
I've said that maybe once. I think maybe 6-8 months ago.
Does it SAY it's to models only within her range? Then you have the answer.
Something about that inability to make decisions is mind numbing to me.
I'd like to make it known I'm not trying to be mean. As has been mentioned before the above hurts me. Automatically Appended Next Post: jy2 wrote:

She has the Hierophant Bio-cannons. I figured that'd be enough.

I don't understand how this instance encompasses the whole of invulnerable saves as being inherently psychic. I meet your Tzeetch example, and i'll even give you another example of Rune Armour, then i will raise you all of these ways of having invulnerable saves that have nothing to do with the warp:
*Storm Shields/Iron Halos
*Shadowfields
*Shimmershields/forceshield
*Flickerfields
*Kustom Force Field
*Cybork Armour
*Power Field Generator
*Relfexes
*Pure, Blind Faith (Whatever the Sisters have, it's stated to NOT be psychic related)
*Rosarius
Compared to:
* Being Daemonic
* Rune armour
* Warp Shield
* Psychic powers that grant invul saves.
I can say, quite safely, that invulnerable saves are at least equally, if not skewed in the favor of, granted by technology. Under that logic, she shouldn't be able to effect these saves at all. Unless your trying to say her Bug Brain can mess up a Shadowfield, which has no connection to the Warp what so ever, with merely her presence. If that is the case, i call bull.

1- I would cap the wounds at 10. 12 wounds just kind of screams "Yeah just extra for no reason" The game is based around an assumed max of 10 for stat lines. Yes there are isolated exceptions to this, but it's still a rule of thumb to look at very closely and if you are going to break, need to be somewhat more overt as to the justification.
2- Mastery level 5? Really? Why? Ahirman, Fateweaver and Eldrad are both level 4 and they're considered to be 'top of the scale' in terms of mastery level. I just don't see tyranids being better then 3 on the psychic powers scale, no matter how 'big' they get. Now giving a rule that allows it to generate more then 4 warp charges a turn, sure that I can see. Giving it a ranged ability where all Deny The Witch rolls gain a +1 modifier, say 24" sure I can see that. But Mastery level 5? That really reads as "I want to be bigger then you"
3- The Brood Mother... couple points. First, the name doesn't really fit. When I read "brood mother" I immediately begin thinking of something along the lines of the Tervigon in terms of "Hey I'm gonna birth out more units!" That might be something you want to consider looking at. Perhaps this is some kind of super-tervigon and is capable of birthing something like Tyranid Warriors.
Second: Hi, I'm gonna run an endless Swarm around this baby. Good luck killing it. I hope you brought lots of D-strength weapons.
4- Ultimate Synapse: The synapse range of 36", yup. I'm cool with that. The Feel No Pain rule in the same diameter... that's just gonna hurt. Hi I'm gonna 20 Tyrant Guard around this baby. They are all T5, with a 3+ save, with 2 wounds. Oh and now they get Feel No pain. I'm sorry, how many D-strength weapons did you bring? Because there's nothing in this 72" bubble (36" in each direction from the model, and given the fact that the Heirophant is several inches across, this area could be as high as 82" depending on how you want to measure it) that's getting doubled out and just for grins and giggles, if you try to kill the source of that feel no pain bubble, basically every wound you inflict on it is going to be getting a Look Out Sir save, an armor save, and a feel no pain save.
-See spelling this last one out, I have to honestly say that if someone showed up to and apoc game with it I would walk out. If I'm going to play/host an Apoc game it's because I want to see stuff that I don't normally get to see. The Super heavy fliers, the 20 Centurions, the Land Raider Wall. I don't want to stand there and watch my opponent roll out his 20 saves followed by 20 feel no paints just to have to go through that merry-go-round again next turn. I already refuse to play certain people in this area because they use army lists that spam feel no pain.
5- You have it with regeneration and It Will Not Die. These do the same thing, just on a different roll, It Will Not Die regrows a lot wound on a 5+ while Regeneration does the same on a 4+. So... what's the point? Does it get a chance to regrow 2 wounds each turn?

It's another 3+ save. That can be done away with by dropping 1 apocalyptic mega blast/ trash can lid on her.
It's not that big a deal honestly. Automatically Appended Next Post: Yes that's the point. It has a small chance to regen 2 wounds per turn.
Once again they're different rules.

'cept for said apocalyptic mega blast trash can lid (nice name by the way, I just called is a pizza plate) to kill said target it would need to rull a 6, followed by another 6 in order to kill it outright. anything less and... well it won't be dead and it'll still have a 1/3 chance of regrowing a wound and a 1/6 change of regrowing a second wound.
