My ragtag band of Grey Knight Henchmen take on a nearly 100% suit Farsight Enclaves list led by Zagman. He was preparing for NOVA, and I thought my Knights would give him a decent test. Who will emerge victorious when the dust settles?

Thanks again for the game bud! Always fun games.
We got in a partial second game with his GK +SM. Lets just in the second game Infiltrating Grav and a beatstick with first turn combined with 3/4 failed 2+ armor saves, 1/1 failed invulns, 1/1 failed look out sirs, and 4/4 failed feel no pains I was on my way to losing despite only being down by one in Maelstrom after three. Had he not ran out of drive space he would have had a pretty brutal beating to post as well!

Brutal match.
Liked your list a lot though. What models did you use for the DCA?

Yeah Zagman was definitely a fun game regardless of the whoopin!
Finklelord, glad you liked it. I got all of my henchmen from a buddy of mine who got rid of his Grey Knights, and they look like they were kitbashed from a mixture of Guardsmen and Dark Elf heads/weapons from Warhammer Fantasy. He's a ridiculously good artist, and he's responsible for the red painted Dreadnought in my list as well (you know, the one that looks better than everything else).

Yeah he's pretty awesome on Sanctic. One of my first 7th ed games with him had 4 Vortex of Doom swirling around the battlefield by game's end. Pretty awesome stuff.

I agree, the little bit I've played my GK in 7th I've put a ML3 Libby with Driago in a 5 man paladin unit. So much potential for fun there.

I'm finding that henchmen with Psychic Shriek is very unreliable. My henchmen can't shriek the broad side of a barn. Get it, broadside? Hahahahaha.
For my GK henchmen list, I'm trying something a little different. Keep in mind that the tournaments in my meta (i.e. West Coast) do allow for Forgeworld. I am running:
Coteaz
4x3 Hencmen, 1 psyker in each
3 Acolytes
3x Stormravens (1 with hurricane + Psybolts)
2x GKLR's
Dark Angel Librarian ally w/Power Field Generator
5x Scouts
Land Raider Achilles w/Dozers
For now, you can use the PFG inside a transport as they took it out of the hardcopy DA FAQ from last edition. So all my vehicles stay close to the Achilles. Then on my turn, they cast Sanctuary and now all my GK vehicles have 3++ Invulns (even the stormravens if they come in within 3" of the Achilles)!
I also fish for Invisibility with the psykers. If I get it, then 1 unit hides behind the Achilles and makes it Invisible.
This is the concept for my anti-meta GK army, that is, until they reFAQ the DA codex. Lol.
Played a game against Grant Theft Auto's seer council list - seer council and 3 wraithknights. He couldn't do anything to my Invisible Achilles and when my ravens came in, I mindstruck the f*ck out of his seer council. Lol. It was actually a very close game that went all the way to Turn 7. Look out for the battle report coming out soon.

I'm with you on unreliable henchmen psykers for sure. It's too bad too, because I really had fun with that list otherwise. I like your idea of the DA allies, nothing I'd like to see more than 3++ land raiders rolling down the opponent's throat. Looking forward to the batrep!

Why do you have markerdrones with your leaders squad? Do they fire first, allowing you to use them immediately, or just use target lock to shoot separate units, and use the markers for your riptides and such?

Two reason, Outstanding Markerlight Support and cheap LOS a Ablative wounds.
8 Twinlinked Bs5 Markerlights at a single target is great. Everything else is Twinlinked and Ignores Cover already so they don't need Markerlights. Of course the unit itself can't benefit from them,
12pt ablative wounds for when my BuffCommander Tank is a Wounded go along way towards keeping the big unit firing.
12 Twinlinked BS3 S7 Ignores Cover Tank/Monster Hinters at up to three targets plus 4 Twinlinked Bs5 S7 Skyfire Ignores cover Tank/Monster Hunters at another target per turn is serious firepower.
Pretty much 8 Guarenteed Markerlights at one target lifts them up like a Christmas tree and makes my Riptides or DSing Fusion quite Effective against that unit.
My exact list is posted lower in the thread on a Batrep that I posted.

Do you ever find yourself wanting more sources of markerlights? I know with BS5 they hit very reliably, but I'm kind of surprised you moved all of them out of the single missile suit units. It does bring down your deathstar model count though...
I do love this evolution of your FE list though! Super mobile firebase for sure.

Yes, I've moved all my Markerlights to one central unit. I've done this for two reasons. Overall Markerlight Support, and Ablative Wounds. Before I found myself needing more Markerlights on a unit than I could reliably produce whole relying heavily on my BuffCommander and attatched Riptides. I had enough Support, but always needed more and opponents could quickly reduce that support. Now, I've got starting with 8 Twinlinked Bs5 Lights and ablative wounds for my BuffCommander to LOS when needed. It let's me light one unit up like a Christmas a Tree.
Do I wish I had more sources of Markerlights? Sure, but I can make due with just one lit target per turn as the Missile crisis don't need support. Only the Riptides, and fusion crisis are priorities for their targets.
Glad you like the evolution of my list, I feel it will do well at NOVA, especially as the BAO meta showed a heavy favoring for MSU ObSec and Marines.

I think it'll do well for sure. Msu is really out in force. So the ability to kill lots of things is more important than ever.
This just reminds me though that I really need to lock down a list for nova and actually get some games with it lol. I've been so scatter brained lately I've only had like 8-10 7th Ed. Games total haha. And they've been a different army every game between bikes, necrons, eldar, and GK/SM.
