Tau as in the Ethereals are basiclly douche bags who manipulate the rest of the Tau race into serving and dieing for the Ethereal caste's benefit. The races the Tau adopt into the empire seem to serve more as disposable troops to protect the more important Tau which protect the more important Ethereals.

The Orks and Nids aren't douche bags as the Orks just want to fight (they don't really understand why other races don't like to fight as much as they do) and the Nids just want to nom everything (nids gotta eat).

Ogryn- perfectly loyal and totally honest.

Ratlings- perfectly pleasant except for being slighly klepto. lol

Squats- Bikers are some of the nicest guys I know.

Again, Orks are incredibly racist. They have a ton of quotes about how inferior other species are to them and they enslave other races all the time in the fluff. They're intolerant of orks worshipping other gods, too, which is one of the reasons why Chaos has a hard time taking a hold on them (any Ork screaming blood for the blood god instead of Mork and Gork gets slaughtered by other orks pretty fast)

Really, Orks are one of the nastiest races, right up there with Humans and Dark Eldar. Everyone just likes to think of their comedic aspect and not their horrifyingly brutal aspect. They are just as brutal as Tyranids when it comes to violence.

... No one is saying the Orks are nice. They're horrifyingly violent, just like the rest of 40k.

They're just simple minded and don't know any better. They don't understand the other races refusal / lack of urge to fight. Despite that they still love them - love to fight them all the live-long day.

So far as Chaos goes? That's a two-fold problem. Personally, I think that Chaos never takes much root in Orcs for a few simple reasons, which are backed up by the fluff. First and foremost, Chaos is all about manipulating those who worship it and inevitably fething them over - however Orks are below (above?) manipulation. A demon which enters a Pysker ork's mind to wreak havoc on the mortal world is trapped there and unable to enact any plots; the Ork is just too simple to manipulate.

Secondly, Chaos is all about offering you gak. Problem is that Gork and Mork offer everything that Chaos does but with none of the drawbacks. You want huge amounts of excess? Gork and Mork have got you covered, and unlike a Slaanesh follower the simple stuff will never lose its luster. Got high dreams of being the big boss / building a mek-mob? Again, Gork and Mork have got you covered, and they won't bone you in the many ways Tzeetch(sp) will in doing so. Why bother with Khorne and his love for slaughter when Gork and Mork love it just as much, but you won't lose your mind in the process? Worshipping nurgle? Orkses don't fear death and feel very little pain - and what kind of a git would let all that feth grow on and in his body to fix problems he doesn't have?

Tau? You mean the race that's leadership literally brainwashes the common citizen to do what ever is needed for the "greater good"?

Everyone is douchey. In the Horus Heresy they came across decent societies who were human or sub-human, but they got either killed off or assimilated into the douchsophere. Being a douche is how you survive in the grim darkness of the future (let's hope not).

I'm not so sure about all that mess above here... Nurgle wants a personal relationship with everyone, he loves all who become his children...

Tau hate you if you don't help out the great good... silly short aliens... compensating for their "smallness" with largish mecha units...
