Hello everyone,

I just wanted to give you a heads up on this year's Brawl in the Fall. We have a couple of changes, with the biggest one being that the Brawl will be a two-day tournament for the first time! It's scheduled for October 4-5. Pre-registration is now open, and you may find the information to do so at:

We should have the latest updated rules and missions posted in the next week or so. We expect to have great sponsorship as we have in the past as well, more on that later.

Edit: we are wondering about the army construction rules and mission packet...time's ticking and I'd like to get some practice games in!

I am curious as well, what are the army construction guidelines, missions, points limit and what will the prize support look like?

Prize support is awesome Adam. In the past years almost everybody gets something. From books to 40k board games to dice and these are just door prizes. Usually 1st overall and best general get an army of some sorts.

I didn't notice any differences (someone point them out to me?) but to save folks an extra 'click'; Rules are BAO and the missions are BAO scenarios 1-5.

Oh, yes. Lotsa 'eating' icons popped up on the map.

As was the case for the BAO in San Jose, oodles of places.

But the one restaurant lacked A/C and was small, getting quickly crowded (we didn't really spot this issue until the whole group of guys committed, like 12).

While 50 feet further was a pizza joint with A/C and thrice the seating. I had scouted the pizza place with GoogleMaps. However, judging by its narrow front, it looked really tiny. I didn't realize how *deep* the building was.

Thus, I ask.

Which is a good place to grab a beer and, like bar food, for lunch? I gotta live up to Blackmoor's faith in me.
