Think Reecius put some special material in every mat that makes opponents who play against him roll bad ?

Reece I think these mats might be semi sentient. I have noticed that the mat owner always seems to roll better than the challenger. Perhaps a feature

Hahaha, yes, they obey their master!

Just kidding, no, that was just some really awful luck for the wolf player.

That was a brutal beat down. Space Wolves are pretty rough right now since they lost their cool psychic powers. I'm sure their new Codex will give them a much needed boost especially with the rumors of that Murder Dreadnought thing. Glad to see your Malanthropes worked out quite well. Do you plan on using that Dimachaeron? If so I'm looking forward to see how much beat face that thing is.

I have a feeling SW new codex will be really solid, and (knock on wood) actually a very strong codex release! This will give me hope if it is, showing that GW can still make strong balanced codices, and gives BA a shining ray of light. Here is to fingers crossed!

I would sign this contract but I already ate the potato

@Ray

I didn't get a Dimachearon, but, I kind of wish I had! It looks like a murder-machine. InControl got one though, and so we will see his in action.

@Solosam47

I think Wolves are going to be pretty damn tough, personally. They always are!

If that is the case then PLEASE do a review of the book, I run Elysian Drop Troops and would really love to know what the book entails about them to decide if I want to purchase it or not!

@gmaleron

It is not the Elysians anymore, it is the D-99 Special detachment which is quite different.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Elysians are in the IA Astra Militarum book.

Ill be at brawl with my nids Reecius, Im currently part o the Game Empire crew.

And man, oh yeah are malanthropes gross as hell...I mean, just straight OP as hell!

I will be running a monstrous creature Highlander list so I will only have 1 malathrope, but even one goes SO far in this meta!

Got a bit excited, sorry, Ive cooled down a bit. Just nice for tyranids to get a really cool singular beasty that supplements their army really well. I never liked venomthropes, they always felt like a waste or first blood bait. And I really never liked tyranids taking emplacements. Feels really out of character.

I couldn't agree more. I just that I've seen the Malanthrope refered to as OP here and there, and I don't agree that they are broken, when the bar is set by things like A-barges and Mindshackle Scarabs, Wyverns, Imperial Knights and the various deathstars of the game. Malanthrope is a really solid support unit that keep Tyranids from imploding, great! But the rest of the army must still win the game.

Oh well, carry on

The Malanthrope in ANY other book I would say is OP. In Nids, it makes them just right and able to hang in the top tier. They are seriously just what the doctor ordered.

We've been using the Dimachearon too, and that thing is a beast.

Just curious, I know the Dimachearon is on the oval base, but what height is it?

And yeah, me saying Malanthropes are OP is more me stating "man nids finally have a REALLY strong support unit taht actually makes their army difficult to deal with". I love it, especially someone like me who prefers running themed and silly list as opposed to pure min/max lists, Malanthropes give me just what I need so my bugs aren't getting immediately blown off the board. Especially when I decide to use silly things like old one eye, but there is nothing NOTHING more hilarious to me than watching OOE kill a knight in the first round of close combat.

The Dimachearon is about as tall as a Wraithknight, they're really big.

Any chance of another battle report featuring the Dimachearon? I want to love it!

I know its the D-99 detachment (but in the story the D-99 detachment is made up entirely of Elysian Drop Troops unless they changed the fluff). Even so will you be doing a review of the new Imperial Armor Volume #4 2nd Edition? Have yet to find anyone else that has done it, and I appreciate it!

Yeah, you are right, they are Elysians. They are pretty cool, all BS/WS/IN 4, stubborn, and can come in units of 5-10. They all deep strike and can take a ton of cool kit.

Yeah, I can do a review of the entire book for sure. Honestly, things have been coming out so fast we simply haven't been able to keep up, lol!

That battle rep didn't help! I want to read about Dima success, not Dima removed from the table before getting into combat, lol

Still, great battle reports no matter what.
