Subject: Rules and reference for the Aegis Defense Line

Still pretty new to 40k and I finally played my first game which made me drastically rethink my force org. So I was suggested to buy a Aegis Line. Not remembering seeing anything about it in my AM codex I assumed the rules would be in the box as I had remembered certain other fortifications were mentioned in the General Rule Book as this being the case. Now that I've skimmed through my codex again and searched my digital rule book looking for "aegis" I have come up empty handed... Can someone just let me know where the rules can be found?
Sorry if this topic exists already. I tried searching but didn't find anything.
Thanks.

Should be in Warhammer 40, 000: The Rules.
If you can't find it try alternates on it like "Aegis Defence Line" Fortifications, battlefield debris. Also it might be case sensitive so try with and without capital letters.

Taking a leaf out of my Kindle version of the 7E rulebook on my PC, the titles are written with spaces between each letter, and some of them use a "tab" function between words, for format reasons. You'd be better off just flicking through each page until it comes up.

I don't think it's in the main rule book anymore. Gotta buy stronghold assault. Or use the old 6e book since it's basically the same rule and costwise.

I find it odd that if the data (points cost and upgrades) isn't in the codex then it should at least be in the general rule book since, from what I've read, there are no restrictions on which army can have them. So why have a separate publication...
Thanks for the info though. I did find Rules about defense lines in the general rules but not the profile (data sheet).

Rules for all the fortifications can be found in Stronghold Assault .
(That's the ebook version, and thus horrible. If you have an iPad, get the Applestore version.)

Why would they put them in the regular rule book? Did you really think you were going to get all the rules to play the game for only $85? With stronghold assault they can get another $33 out of you for fortification rules.

Unfortunately, they are not in the main rulebook anymore, the only rules for specific terrain they have in there are the ones for the GW-produced terrain pieces that aren't fortifications (such as the woods, the various buildings they have, craters, etc.).
You can find all of the current point costs for fortifications in the Stronghold Assault book, which is a supplement specifically dedicated to fortifications.

Or in a copy of the 6E rulebook. Which can be found cheaply via the interwebz.

Well, yes, I suppose there as well, but there are a few extra options that are available in the Stronghold Assault book that weren't there in the 6th Edition book. The SA book has rules for extra gubbins that can be added to any fortification, like ammo stockpiles.
