I don't know if anyone noticed this and already posted a thread about it, but I couldn't find it.
I was looking at Forgeworld's Warhammer Forge a few days ago and noticed that Tamurkhan on his dragon was out of stock. Went back to check today, and now Tamurkhan has disappeared entirely! And on closer inspection, I noticed some other models to be gone as well.
What could this mean? Were Forgeworld's Fantasy models selling so bad and is this the end of Warhammer Forge? Or are we going to see a plastic toad dragon from GW?

I have no idea. I know the Empire Landship has gone, but the book itself is still up. I hope it isn't going anywhere soon but it does seem Forgeworld is focusing on 30k because that's where the cash is. Who knows what else they may release though? I'm hoping to get the Command sets at some point and would love the Skaven Warlord on Broodhorror. I don't think it's anything to panic over though.

Warhammer forge is on its way out the door. Expect nothing new from them in the future and don't expect them to keep adding inventory.

I wanted to order an Orc Rogue Idol today and they are gone. :(

So I ordered the rest of the Orc & Goblin stuff (just in case it goes too).

Terrain kits have been out the door for quite some time from FW. They were costing more to maintain than they would ever make back.

What tends to happen when a thing is "Out of Stock" for a few days and then gets unlisted is not that it's "gone forever!" but rather they unlist it so that they can have a few days to work stock back up.

Unless the molds for Tamurkhan and Theodore Bruckner are damaged beyond repair, they should both be back up within the next few weeks.

Lets hope so.
I still want a Tamurkhan one day, should I ever get the money.

Basicly, they stopped producing new Warhammer Forge items because heresy has been so successful. There are literally no people working on Warhammer stuff anymore, and they're not producing new or replacement stock.

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

The Dread Saurian begs to differ.

Basically, they're not doing more small stuff. Just big stuff that Trish Carden works on as she does really not work on 40k stuff.

This makes me sad. Warhammer Forge is falling prey to the same GW marketing logic that has killed the Sisters of Battle, "we don't support it because nobody buys it" when in fact it's more a case of nobody buys it because it's so poorly supported and nothing ever gets released therefore people forget it's there.
Warhammer forge was never given the chance to shine, I remember all the grand promises that were made when it was given separate status from FW: "WF will be its own company with its own sculptors and book team"

I heard that was the last one they would be doing, since it was pretty much ready to go when they finally made the decision - one production run and that would be it.

I'd *seriously* love to be wrong.

So I guess the Chinese, Russian, and Ukrainian recasters will, soon, be the only source for anyone wanting something from the Warhammer Forge...

It's odd. I thought the Warhammer Forge stuff would sell well because people into other fantasy miniature ranges and games would be interested in them. Maybe it's because they have more competition from other companies?

Sad to hear anyway.

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Rang FW last week (trying to get Monstrous Arcanum & an Orc Rogue Idol) and they basically said no more casting runs for Fantasy - when the stock is gone that's it :-(

Good call. Are there rules for the Gobba or are you going to use it as a doom diver etc?

I love that Squig in the command set. I might have to also pick those up.

What do Night Goblin lists typically look like now? I haven't really played mine since 6th-7th.

I have a ton of Gobbos, Fanatics, Spear Chuckas, a Lobba, Trolls, Spider Riders and a Giant.

Wow, that sucks. I was waiting for more Dwarf stuff since the new Army Book just came out. One "command set" and that's it? That's a shame.

5000 pts High Elves 4000 pts, Warriors of Chaos 4000 pts, Dwarfs 3000 pts, Wood Elves and Greenskins too

You can download the gobba rules from FW, it looks like great fun to use

That's really sad considering what few Imperial troops they had look far better than their plastic counterparts. WF had a good foundation to get the 'other' stuff for WHFB fleshed out that the main game doesn't touch.

I am going to regret not getting that Land Ship. My condolences to the Chaos Dwarfs.

Anyone shoot them an email regarding this?

I know they aren't producing new stuff, but discontinuing items is new. I know some fairly popular WH40k stuff disappears for a time unheralded, then returns equally unannounced.

Still a few things I still want from Warhammer Forge... Mainly the monsters, but who knows what I'll get inspired to want to paint up.

Thanks but I expect we'll survive. The army survived for years without any GW love and I dare say they can survive a few more. Any chaos dwarf players who don't know it should head to www.chaos-dwarfs.com . It's a really good community.

I need to get a few more packs of infernal guard though before they disappear forever :(.

What worries me is that GW seems to be using the End Times to trim any "unwanted" bits from the fluff. I can see a massive meteor striking the plain of Zharr and wiping the chaos dwarves from existence :(.
