Well that is one way to deal with the issue I guess, but surely there's a better one. I doubt being more evil than those you fight against really help to prove that western values are better.

that's the problem with christianity and probably islam as well. for any question, you often get multiple and conflicting answers. Mainly those that put to much emphasis on romans,

If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

so when people try to paint all of islam as bad, I can't help but think of christians and how well they dodge and jump through hoops to seperate all the evil in their group, but one bad apple in islam is a symptom of the entire religion. There's what at least 4 different schools of islam, so trying to paint them all with one brush just isolates the others.

Violence doesn't deal with the problem though.

Surely the first step is to sit down and have a round of peace talks with them. During all past wars pre bush dynasty, peace talks went hand in hand with wars. You sit down with the other side and see if we can find a peaceful end to the conflict that both sides can agree to.

After 20 years of bombing with things only getting worse, isn't it time to realize that more bombings and endless wars are not the answer.

Let's try something new, let's sit down with ISIS and talk to them.

ISIS isn't going to talk with us anymore than any other terrorist group.

When your main agenda has wiping out western civilization on it you aren't going to talk with them.

And did you miss them killing little kids for no reason other than they can? Using mentally disabled kids as suicide bombers? these people need to be wiped off the face of the earth.

I can guarantee you that they do kill more kids that the US has accidentally in recent history.

And yes, that is the agenda of Jihadists.

Believe me or not, I think we just need to get it over and done with. Send a few long range artillery units down, lob about 57 explosive shells at all their bases, and call it a day. And yes I'm thinking Genocide, they deserve worse than even that.

It worked with germany, it worked with north korea, that line in the sand both sides agreed to is still there generations later

Germany, and even North Korea, are reasonable countries in comparison.

The North Koreans don't have the capability to take on the rest of the world, while the ideology possessed by ISIS does. Islam is one of the largest religions in the world, that means 1.6 billion potential people who are down with the message ISIS has. North Korea doesn't have that sort of threat.

Germany is not a particularly good analogy.

In both World Wars, Germany was brought to its knees, its military and economies crushed. In WW2 the Soviets were invading its capital by the time it surrendered.

And given what happened to Japan a few months later, wiping Germany off the face of the Earth was well within America's capabilities.

Sure it does. They're all potential members of this radical brand of Islam.

Now I don't think anywhere close to a majority of those 1.6 billion will join up, but thats still way too many people who will join up. And even more who will be apathetic and do nothing to try and stop it.
