Meh, it seems to me like its just going to be a big easy target for whoever is bombing ISIS, its not like they have the support elements to do much about it.

ISIL lists names of 8,000 churches in the US for potential targets.

If you come to mine on Christmas day it will just me (as usher) and some old people. It may not go well. I will already be grouchy and may seat you in a less than perfect spot.

How do you capture a Leopard tank?

ISIL burns two Turkish soldiers alive.

With Russia and Turkey getting closer I wonder if you'll see Turkey rapidly advance its efforts against ISIL/Kurds while Russians/Syrians go after remaining rebel strongholds.

Isis is a heap of idiots.
The Tunesien who made the attack in Germany had contact it this 'organization' just once. I guess we'll have more isis sleepers here. Our police and prosecutors are just too stupid to track them.

This is easier to say than to be done.
Isis is very widespread in both Syria and Irak.
One major issue is to destroy their telecommunication links which could be done by cruise missiles or drones.

I suppose this all goes back to, the people 'on the ground' in ISIL technically wanting to actually lose. That whole "apocalyptic death cult" thing.

Meanwhile the people ultimately in charge / behind ISIL will no doubt still be raking in the dough from the chaos they've caused.

True. But ending any battle inevitably needs to be done from the ground as well as the air. That's a problem. Allied or westen, irawi, nor Syrian and Kurds.
One or more of those is going to have to claim the towns and lands that air power made possible.

BBC too.

There is a tenuous link but It will be downplayed, heavily.
ISIL will not claim the attack though. Their leaders are not true enough believers in paradise and Armageddon.

In fact this is a list of the nations and groups that hope ISIL are not going to claim attacks against the Jewish state.

Israel
Any country, state, nation, terrorist group which wants Israel wiped off the map.
ROW.

Messianc sect leaders in Israel and the US (and elsewhere) may actually want something to happen.

True. There one of few counties they have decided to stay away from.
They may consider them infidels etc but even they know who can hit hard if provoked.

Forcing them into fight would certainly thow the balence of situation. Not sure if good or bad change.

Because ISIS got its hands on surface to air missiles recently, didn't they? So sending some B-2's is safer for the american personnel than a more standard ground attack craft.

Seems odd. A B1 or a '52 could have done the same mission. Maybe giving them some long range missions prepping for action over Syria?

True the old b52 are alot cheaper than a b2 flight. There old but that deliver a massive amount of ordinance on target cheaply.
B2 no slacker on making it rain steel though.

Maybe a b2 crew needed a training mission, and well. Saves fuel tondo a live bomb drop.

Scary fact is IsIS have missile that can threaten a military jet potentially.

Could be something as simple as wanting to rotate out airframes, giving the B2s a workout/workup with some new precision munitions.

I don,t think Russia should atop direct fire support just yet. Keep the steel raining.

Not a big deal, in Operation: Iron Eagle II, Americans and Russians worked together to destroy a nuclear weapons program in an undisclosed location in the Middle East.
