You under estimate the US militaries enthuisaism for tackling the zombie apocolypse.

And I think civilians severely under estimate the destruction military grade equipment can achieve.

M1A1 Abrams + Canister shot = biggest shotgun ever....ever.

Armored Assualt Breacher + 4000lbs of C4 = everything ever dead.

You all should have a capable silencer in your house hold. The Mag-Lights that hold D batteries. A drill and a rat tail file to shape the hoe to go over the muzzle and metal set to adhere to the front sight post. METAL SET!! I bet some of you all would use GW glue

Wouldn't you need rubber washers or something inside? I know jack gak about guns other than they're fun to fire, but I thought you needed chambers in a suppressor for it to be effective.

you know most crowbars weigh a lot more than most swords right?

my hand and a half weights about 4 lbs (which is on the heavier side of said weapons)

Bladed weapons tend to chip though when biting through bone. You want something that can last in a zombie infestation.
I'd rather use a mace.

A halberd may be useful as well, due to it's reach.

A baseball bat would be pretty good too. They're meant to be swung. I like a smallish crowbar because I can use it for other things.

I have little doubt that Redeker Plans would be activated in the event of something like this.

What if we have it all wrong and the head demolishing doesn't "kill" them

real zombies dont die unless your crowbar/reallyheavyaxe/gun is at least a +3 weapon.

They still can't bite you, and I'm just going on gut instinct here as I have zero experience in the matter. BUT if you also cave their face in they probably won't be able to see or smell you and effectively become easily avoided road obstacles that simply follow sounds slowly.

If they are "real" zombies, they won't die unless you fill their mouths with salt and sew them shut. Crowbars to the head would just make them mad. Also, you'd be in arm's reach, and that's the last place you want to be with a zombie. Those guys are crazy strong.

I guess it depends on if you can destroy the head or not. A headless zombie is a lot less threatening.

Pfffff... Ebola will never get us all. As soon as it's financially viable, the drug companies will find a cure. Look at AIDs death rates in a Western nation vs. African if you don't believe me.

Being in NZ I feel pretty safe from zombies. I feel like I would get to watch the Zombie Apocalypse through youtube and so on.

BUT if zombies did get here, we have so few weapons and a tiny force that I think many of us would be very dead very fast.

Its either watch the world get devoured in my living room, or being slaughtered like helpless sheep by a wave of zombies.

No borders and some of the biggest claimed surrounding ocean sounds nicely safe. If all else fails, we in Paraparaumu have no shortage of boats and a large island reserve right on the coast. We can try live out the rest of our days with the kiwis.
