C&C encouraged and welcome.

For any who remeber my Vangaurd he has a metallic armor look, I have since decided to move away from that and align my scheme a bit closer to the new overall CA theme. I do the armor in a dark grey with a few washes of dark grey ink, clothing is the same dark grey with a light grey ink wash, I do the weapons in the same style I used to do my armor with steel paint and a heavy heavy dose of black ink.

The rest is just standard Morat colors

I am still doing some detail work, but I should have him done before to long. I am struggling a bit with the eyes.

Also I really got to stop with the close ups.

That one is tricky, you start for a dark red and just progressively build layers up of lighter reds, using a red ink wash to blend the colors together.

Ah I see. Do you use a wash in between each layer or at the end for all of them?

I'm still newbie. I don't use washes as much as I probably should.

Really you only have to do it at the end, I think I did it about 3 times on the skin just because I can't stop messing with it.

Have you still painted his belt and some other armor parts metallic? You mention you used to do it, but are now using a dark grey? It looks cool already, I also really like the skin tone.
