Anyone having good success with the dakka dreadknight?

Since my interceptors and purifiers seems to have the flame war covered I was thinking of removing my heavy incinerator from my dreadknights and replace with the gatling psilincer. And run that beside my heavy psycannon. Anyone having good outcomes with this weapon load?

I am very curious about this. It seems hard to give up the incinerator, but damn...all those shots could come in handy.

Honestly I'd say the mere threat of ranged force hits (and quite a few) will cause many MCs to panic a bit, and be far more weary of getting close to the dreadknight. so it seems like it has potential.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

I currently play Daemons while I'm building and painting some Grey Knights, and I would be very afraid of a couple Psilencer-armed Dreadknights going first and shunting across the board to nail Fateweaver or an expensive Daemon Prince before I got to move.

I've magnetized the Dreadknight I have so I can run either the Incinerator or the Psilencer, but I think I'm going to use the Psilencer most of the time.

I bought a second hand dreadknight that came equipped with a psilencer. It works great for me against anything with a toughness value, so looking at eldar, tau, nids and daemons, it works great against. definitely worth taking... only 1 of the 12 shots has to get through.

I think for a 1-12 shot to get through and instant kill is a pretty damn good chance. I plan on running twin dreadknights with the same load. At 2k I plan on just simply using the heavy psycannon. But..I might try to fudge some points around so I can run psycannon/psilencer. Insta gibbing anything is worth it to me.

I wish it worked on Wraithknights, but otherwise it is a decent weapon. I'm going to try to use it more.

I have considered the psilencer as well for the DK and it seems as it could be quite useful in some situations.

Also I think there is a way it can work on wraithknights, I am not 100 percent sure if it is consistent with the rules, however by rolling on the divination table you can access the fortune psychic power and then cast it on the WK with one of your librarians who is likely deepstriking with your GKT etc. anyways (I believe it has 24 inch range), then let your shunting dreadknights go to work, as long as you get those two powers off (force and misfortune), the wraithknight is gone on a single six to wound.

I am not sure how points effective that strategy is, however it does give you the option of dealing with wraithknights, wraithlords or iron arm MC's. Also even without force it could be good to use misfortune and basically turn those 12 psilencer shots each into rending ones.

Take a look at the number of multi-wound units DE are going to be running.
It will be really useful against them.
