Well, not sure if a new but you can have a good laugh, looks like in the Spanish Rulebook (not only the pdf, also the physical rulebook) there is no mention of the Command Token's Strategic Use, the section is gone, makes you think, right?

The thing about the chaska or whatever though is that the other two dudes in the set are bigger than they are even.

So CB figures that their fellow Iberians are smart enough to use the Command Tokens thusly... and the rest of us, not? Ni modo.

There is an update to the marker sheets. It now has 40mm and 55 mm camo tokens. and a few other additions. Although placing downloads under the 'Archives' heading is... anyway, if you need/want them, they are there now.

Pretty sure Tohaa are meant to be taller than Chaksa. I always thought that was the point - Tohaa are tall, lithe and fragile, Chaksa are short, built and solid.

Ah well I didn't realize the Chaksa were meant to be short, I just figured the Tohaa were freakishly tall.

Nope, Spaniards are too OP so they can't strategically use Command Tokens, In the English rules if you are going second you can spend 1 Command Token to

A: destroy (only for that turn) 2 of your enemiy's orders
or
B: cut (only for that turn) his Command Token usage to only one

this doesn't appear in the Spanish rules, so the OP Spaniards have been nerfed, in fact Spanish Hac Tao has 16 CC while all other Hac Taos have CC19.

Looking at one of the pictures with a grey background again, I think they might not all be to the same scale. The base on the female Rasail looks way bigger than the others. In the pictures with scenery, the chaksa look much bigger.

EDIT: On second thought, maybe not. The one picture is definitely not to scale though. How do the figures in the Tohaa support pack compare?

Giraldez's facebook has images of them more to scale:

Spoiler:

Compare to the support pack:
http://studiogiraldez.blogspot.com/2013/06/tohaa-support-pack.html
Spoiler:

Not only does this new female Tohaa have male hair, but the Chaksa are also much shorter. This may be a new direction for the Tohaa or maybe just variation on their genetically engineered bodies. Some people are tall, some are short. It's really that Rasail female that's really oddly scaled and haired.

Rather than a new Ko Dali, they could just give ISS or Yu Jing another character with a different name and a different backstory similar to what was done with Izzat Beg and Kaysim Beg. That way, people can still use their old model as a perfect proxy. Hell, they could even do a Dire Foes with an ISS figure representing Yu Jing this time around. Dire Foes works as a great way to introduce interesting alternative personalities that don't have a tremendous impact on the storyline while still having a model that suits a nice proxy for generic troopers.

I really don't know why Izzat Beg got replaced, but in a way, I rather like the idea. Nobody is immortal. Even as an Aleph player I was hoping that Achilles would die and be replaced ever since the Skeskiin bio-scan rumors floated about.

Yu Jing tears are delicious! I can't believe people are still bitching about Ko Dali. It was one fricking model! Think about all the players with Exrah models, including a very expensive TAG. I haven't heard nearly as much bitching from them... /sigh

I don't play Yu Jing. I play Aleph. Read what you quoted.

Perhaps you should go back to League of Legends.

To be fair, Izzat isn't a 'perfect proxy' for Kasym. The only thing on there you need to be the same, the gun (the rest is just 'biker badass') is completely different. Izzat had a Nomad Combi Rifle, Kasym has a Haqqislam Chain Rifle.

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

There was a fair amount of complaint when the development of the story to Ko Dali happened, so it's possible Nocturnus just read the first line of Absolutionis' comment and then jumped to that conclusion.. ?

Good to see I'm not the only one wishing for similar treatment for the Achilles then Although I thought the bit of background in Paradiso, where Achilles squared off against the Avatar for the final showdown was particularly cool.

And is the verb really nerfear? As in: Caramba, CB ha nerfeado el Hac Tao?
Marking the LoF on the bases? Mandatory in the Spanish ruleset? It seems to me, yes ?
Spoiler:

El jugador debe señalar en la peana de la tropa, de una manera visible, cuáles son estos 180o para facilitar su jugabilidad.

Izzat would need to be placed on a 55mm base, but you could use him as Kasym given that there is pretty much nothing else that he would be.

Achilles? You mean Jerkilles? He's far too much fun as the butt of so many jokes for CB to off him.

And for news, hmmm, What are the January releases supposed to be again?

well, we use the word thanks to the influence of English speaking communities, but it's not a real word and some people dislike it and all other English influences in the Spanish language

yeah, the Spanish rules state it pretty clearly but there is a problem, in Spanish we don't have should and must, we use debe in both cases. But I don't really see anyone enforcing this more than the ITS proxy rules, and very few people strictly adere to them.

EDIT: nothing, Koni posted in the Spanish forums that they were going to reupload the pdf with the corrected version that includes the strategic use

Hm... I don't think so, we do have should and must exactly the same: "debe" for "must" and "debería" for "should". Yes, it is the same verb, but one is an imperative form and the other is conditional. Personally, I don't think I've ever mixed up the two.

Ah, normally the translation is debe (present tense)= it/he/she must and debería (conditional tense) =it/he/she should, or so I learned anyway. I think the rule is one of those clarity and streamlining things. It is a PITA to have to ask "which way is the mini facing?" with any sort of frequency. It is certainly a courtesy to your opponent to mark the LoF. It makes it easier on yourself too, IMHO. And you know, TFG likes the ambiguity unmarked bases create. He can exploit it.

Spanglish. Yeah. Very common in the USA, as you can imagine. And sometimes very funny. But it goes both ways. We borrow from Spanish all the time.

Hac Tao is amazing. But I don't want to like Yu Juing

well, that's what I get for not caring during class (my curse, worst thing is that last year I already got burned and this year I can't allow myself to do the same, but everything is soooo boring), in my defence I will say that I get Spanish and Catalan mixed up quite a bit so my speaking and informal writting are plagued with those kind of problems (like writting seqüel·la when I should have written secuela)

Any clue when we'll get complete updated army lists for N3 with HS & Paradiso profiles?

Models that have LoF to the firer get to Dodge with no penalty (assuming they have an ARO or the second skill of an Order) compared to a -6 penalty in N2.

Models that have LoF to the firer get to Dodge with a -3 penalty (assuming they have an ARO or the second skill of an Order) compared with being auto-hit in N2.

I'll assume a word "no" is missing in one of those sentences.

When they're done? AB5 is in the works, and (again) has been slated for late January. February is the tentative start for ITS 2015 season.

We'll be extremely lucky to get them any update PDFs before then. Feel free to play with your lists as is until then.

Also, did the templates change for the new edition? I saw some people discussing purchasing new templates for N3, but as far as I can tell they're still the same size, not sure what would require a new set
