Whats the status of the Wiki?
Last I checked some stuff looked up to date, but then later on the whole site was down.

wikispot.org, the website that hosted Infinity wiki (and others) shut down last week. CB is in the process of updating the wiki and moving to a new hosting service. You can still access the old wiki, but no changes at all can be made to it now

New Tiger Soldier better not be some massive chunky thing. The concept art looked super bulky. The old female model was good. The older 2 male models were not so good.

It's looking more like the Maghariba redo will be the big gen con early release this year. I keep hoping to see it month after month but no luck so far.

It will be super bulky. They're overly relying on the digital sculpting process now.

I don't think digital sculpting is the reason, you can make bulky models traditionally and slim models digitally.

It's a guess/hope on my part not a rumor. I wouldn't put much stock in it beyond they do a big kit early release for gencon and to my admittedly limited knowledge its the only one previewed in cartoony concept art form yet to be released.

That's exactly what it is.

They've stated time and time again that their goal is to transition to purely digital sculpts as it cuts down the man hours for them.

If it's bulky, due to digital sculpting then you know it's exactly as bulky as planned, because if it wasn't, they could easily modify the mesh and reprint.

There has definitely been a bulking out of some of the miniature lines over the past year, although the things are still bloody tiny when you get them in your hands.

Although, I was looking at some early Zanshi the other day and I would say the biggest change you notice is that they are far less detailed than the current sculpts. Some of the proportions are somewhat different also.

I'm not saying they don't do digital sculpting. I'm saying that the fact they're digitally sculpting isn't the reason everything's bulkier, it's because they're sculpting everything bulkier. You can sculpt less bulky models digitally still, so it must be a conscious decision to sculpt bulkier models.

It is a conscious decision made for artistic and practical reasons based on feedback.

I feel the exact opposite. The two originals are good minis. Solid combat poses (aiming down the sights, my word!) and good composition overall. The female model was terrible. Horrid comic-style T&A pose that would make Rob Liefield do a double take to check spine alignment. What's more, it suffered from tiny frail ankles because CB kept on pushing smaller and thinner on so many female models (the re-sculpted Zhanshi were also bad for this).

The originals are less detailed but better minis overall. The female is a horrid pose attached to a poorly designed sculpt that was way too fragile and lacked any sort of style.

The new Tiger can only be an improvement if they bulk it out a bit and keep similar high quality poses to the originals. It would also be nice if we could get a female sculpt not playing at being a contortionist as well (just deciding where to place the LoF arc on that thing was a headache).

You are talking about the 10+ft guy that are the same size and a standerd human vs. a unit in a old style bulky power armor that meant to be huge being bigger then a standerd human. Yeah they have nothing in common, I mean who wants model that are the size the fluff says.

As of converting the new poses are so much easier (do to the boring open chest and arm out in rage fist vs close arm to chest and why are they looking at their own ass poses). And they take glue like any other metal model.

You don't post a Gages on Infinity forum do you.
