Interesting that the Tohaa Pokemon Masters are the first Tohaa to wear the devil-horned helmets that the Smegma EI "Tohaa" troops have.

Still so much better than the previous minis.

Well, Wallace has a mini already. Maybe a future resculpt might follow the trend?

What is with all of the combat wedges on the females regardless of faction?

Or the boob armor?

As would the Gorgos (it may be classed as a TAG, but it's still just a big symbiont armour).

What is this, a Kickstarter? Bunch a bunch of tribute models... quality is high though.

The Symbiomate/bombs are ADORABLE. I want them.. but their dorky tohaa masters do nothing for me.

Saves money at least, I guess.

Grimdork, there are plenty of tribute models. The ones that spring to mind right away are the Game of Thrones DireFoes pack.

And the cast of LOST too - it has been going on for a while.

As has combat heels and Readily Identifiable Females In Armor - no news there.

Yeah, the cast of Lost. But no Hurley :(

The Liam Neeson reference is a bit obscure. Who saw that movie anyway? I would have expected him as an Authorized Bounty Hunter, very particular set of skills and all.

Will Bostria give us a reveal at this years FicZone? Angel is giving a painting workshop, and there is an Infinity Tournament there, but I have heard nothing about further CB participation. ¿Alguien sabe algo?

Wait, did you seriously just say that Rob Roy is obscure?! I know it's been 20 years, but sheesh man, it was a popular movie back then. No Braveheart, but popular. Besides, they can't really do Mel Gibson, since they already have a William Wallace model

Which figures were modeled after the cast from Lost?

UGH me want!
Another awesome Ariadna release. Though I'd still want to get the old highlanders too. They're also pretty awesome.

The only thing stopping me is that Ariadna is the closest to a swarm army in Infinity. So many badass cranky Scots

Red Harvest - I'm not quite sure where a Hurley sculpt would fit in.. (literally!)

Actually, not a bad film either! Certainly better than Taken 2 and 3

My 2 cents:

45th Highlanders- These look good because of a extremely well technical execution. They are obviously a ripoff the Braveheart movie and we know that since the firts models, but this time the level of quality and the superb painting make the shine like #1. Apart from the brilliant execution, not super original, but attractive as hell.

Fraacta- This is a total WIN for me. Brilliant design, excellent posing. I think that all those surfaces had more potential if the color scheme wasn't so dark. A winner anyway. Truly original concept.

Tiger Soldier- Brilliant. The love for this troop from CB becomes so obvious with this brilliant sculpt. Since the last Sun Tze I think this is the best Yu Jing Resculpt ever.

Aquila Guard- It's impressive, but what happen swith most of the PanO sculpts is that they are so "modular", they all share the same elements and every armor is a step further from the previous ORC armor. So, while the final result is impressive I cna still feel that all PanO armors are the same. Wich makes sense for this army, BTW.

Kaeltar Specialists- I find the design for the Tohaa figures a little boring, since we are seeing the same elements of previous figures. Ot does not become obvious because, once again, CB's execution of their designs is superior to the proper designs. So the Tohaas look fine, while we have been sold the same Tohaa male & female over and over. On the other side... we have something truly original here with the SymbioBombs/Mates. A new kind of creature, very funny, fresh, new, not at all an abuse of previous elements but an execution that I feel is below the high stantadrds by CB. A little cartoony (and probabaly this goes with the behaviour of this "bombs" almost sure of this) but a little too simple for Infinity IMHO. Apart from this, personality over 9000, yes.

Only Braveheart? These are very recognisably casts from the Highlander-movies and other Scot-flicks. Sean Connery in Highlander 1 (rifle), Liam Neeson in Rob Roy (Chainrifle). Christopher Lambert in Highlander (big sword), David O'hara (this one Braveheart, Boarding Shotgun). No?

Corvus Belli doing another Zombicide-style homage.

The only thing I dislike in this Galwegian is the rifle. The weapon is quite big and the stock too small, I would rather have the usual gun.

This isn't the first time we've had celebrity cameos.

The characters in the Aleph/Nomad Dire Foes pack were models of Denerys and Jon Snow

The 4 Acontecimento Regulars (and the Missile launcher Keisotsu) were the cast of Lost.

One of the Ghazi was modelled after a popular spanish fashion blogger.

There's a few others that slip off the top of my head.

Van Zant= Van Zan (Matthew Mcconaghey) from Reign of Fire.
Jacques Bruant = Jean Reno
Foxtrot Ranger w/ Grenade Launcher= Clint Eastwood

Just a few celebrity likenesses in Ariadna off the top of my head.

Sforza is Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino, and Sun Tze's face looks suspiciously like Tony Stark.

Hmmm.. Sforza was rumored to be based on Cable from the X-Men, but now that I look at the model... he does bear a striking resemblance to Clint from GT, especially with that pistol hand pose.
And Gran Torino came out in 2008.. 3 years before the Sforza model.

Those of you thinking of picking up the new oriental garden sets from Annocnetti for infinity. Its nice stuff but the cuts around the pieces have gaps that are a little too big to get out practically. So it breaks very easily and even if you carefully cut out the piece with a knife it will still be bare wood on that section so will require painting.

Its nice scatter terrain but requires a lot of care cutting out and will almost certainly require touching up with paint after put together.

4 grounds pre painted MDF stuff is a better example of how to do pre painted MDF kits but they sadly dont have sci fi.

I dont regret buying it but was hoping I could put it together and be done with it but thats not the case.

That's a pity, I was planning on getting a set myself soon. Does it need fully painted or could you just get away with some quick weathering?

I find even with the best pre-painted stuff (the 4Ground 15mm for example, which is excellent) it requires a little bit of work, you can just put them together and plonk them on the table but I found myself painting the window sills and adding a bit of weathering, some posters to the side etc.

The thing is that relatively you save a lot of time compared to having to base coat and then paint the whole piece from scratch.

Those Antenociti kits certainly looked very nice, when I visited their stand at Salute they were sold out by mid day so obviously very popular.

You'll need to find some paint to match the colour of it and paint over the bare mdf where its unpainted.. The majority of it will be pre painted adequately.

Do we know or can we assume the antipode pack and dog warriors will be a part of the USAriadna sectorial? One would think they might be in the Caldonians since they also have Wulvers, Cameronians & McMurrough.
