Has there been any talk of when (or whether in fact?) that book will be re-released with N3 updates?

I was going to get it at some point but am hesitant if it is going to get a new re-print.

There has been no mention or even intention to republish the book with N3 updates. As far as we know, the N3 PDF is the official source for all the unit profiles.

Additionally, the Human Sphere information isn't obsolete. The rules are fully compatible with N3 and are the only source for rules when it comes to HS-specific rules like Ghost:Jumper or Neurocinetics.

Acheron Falls is expected to be the next supplement book. It's a possibility that all the HS and PF rules will be in there as well in N3 formatting.

Well, I heard something from a tester that the next book may be HS but with some "heavy changes" and indirectly hinted something about removing some sectorials to be rewritten (said something about Shas having many numbers for this) and adding some new ones to fill the void.

He also made some remarks about USAriadna being quite broken right now.

So... take this with a mountain of salt (please, salt mountain gif) but that's what I heard.

Hopefully they won't be removing any more profiles. Combined Army already lost Exrahs and the Caskuda. What more do they want? Shasvasti could definitely use some model love, though. The sectoral boxed set is widely regarded as being pretty terrible, and that's the only troop boxed set they have at the moment. Gwailos and Cadmus are in need of some consolidation boxed sets, and the army could use a few more specialist options overall.

If happily buy a reissue of HS if it got the N3 treatment.

I wouldn't. CB specifically said they didn't consolidate all of the rules for all models together because they didn't want to invalidate HS and CP. If their next move is to invalidate HS and CP by releasing new versions of them all it does is tell me to never buy another book from them again.

It's a business model other companies have used for years. I've got stacks of old GW books nobody will ever want unless they intend to wallpaper their entire home with them.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "removing some sectorials to be rewritten" ? It would seem more logical to retool some of the underutilized or broken units in certain sectorials, but not to take them offline entirely to rework them.

When I heard that grunts would have good ARM, profiles with heavy flamethrower, and cost less than 10 pts I was afraid USAriadna would be broken good.
I'd rather they wait and fix these issues than release a half-baked product.

I'm not sure, I don't have the info, only what he choose to tell us, but I think he meant taking a sectorial out of the book (keeping it playable but without it being in the book) to fully redesign the way it works whithout the pressure of having to fit everything into it, and to fill the void and add some extra things they will (supposedly) add a new Sectorial for each one they take out of the book.

Basically Shas are getting Morat-ed, in the sense that they will get some big changes to how they play in order to make them less terrible (my guess is some severe changes to the Seed Embryo rule, in the same way the Morat rule changed dramatically in N3), but also in the sense that they will get a more unified look sculptwise.

That's all I know, I'm going to keep my shas watched and expand my other factions but if CB does it well Shas may become way more interesting, gosh, I may be putting my hopes to high but maybe Seed Soldiers won't be as terrible for their price as they are now.

Bladerunner2019 - I used to have a number of out of date rulebooks, with a few exceptions they now get taken to charity shops (don't know if you have many of those in Canada?) Means perhaps some parent that can't afford it otherwise will give their kid a look at wargaming or miniatures, and ebay is packed full of old rulebooks that don't sell for 99p.

What if they don't want to invalidate HS and CP only until the stock is gone?

Why shouldn't they be doing a new version in PDF form, and then selling the new book version after current stocks have gone down enough?

Nothing says they have to keep printing the older books when they run out of physical copies.

Oh, yeah. CB updated today and put the missing HS and CP PDF's back up on the downloads section, along with Tourney, League, and Campaign trackers.

THEY NEVER SAID THAT. What they did say is the books are done in a 3x3 sets for the story line and they want to keep it that way so when new players get the books the books they can read the story the way it is meant to be read. They did say the rules in HS and C: P are not going into the N3 book becouse the HS and C: P are still current books, nothing else. The head writer even said he would like to revist HS becouse he want to bring the writing up to the level of N3 and C: P, as he grown as a writer in that time. I for one would love a refluffed HS as he is right N3 and C: P fluff is much better.

Actually no, it was pretty explicitly stated that they didn't put the rules(such as Link Teams) from Human Sphere or Campaign: Paradiso in because "the rules for N3 were being written with keeping HS and CP valid in mind".

CB has updated the downloads on their site. You can now get the N2 HS and C: P there as 1 file. Sadly it a copy paste so some thing are out of date, already.

Basically, Symbio's are Disposable 2 items that have to be distributed in deployment (only one per model) to any models with Symbiont armor in your force.
They provide one use pseudo-hacking attacks or provide immunity to flamers for one Order.

No, no reloading. the Disposable is most likely an error.

Symbios are only deployable at the beginning of the game in Deployment, so any resupply by a Baggage Bot would do no good.

Can't see the value for the Gorgos. Still to expensive, even with a 1 off complete immunity to a Fire hit. Might have been better as a persistent ARM bonus against Fire rather than a complete one off immunity.

Might be worth it on Sakiels or Ectros who aren't as expensive but still taken.

Do we have any info regarding the last Aquila and his new profile HMG/PZF ?
Or we need to forgot totally about the fact that he have a PZF on his shoulder :p

CB never said Aquila was going to get a new profile, whichever wishlisting rumors people created were nothing more than wishlisting rumors, it is probably the pistol or maybe part of the visor or some cosmetic thing the sculptor felt like placing here.

Except that it's very clearly a Pzf. I suspect he may show up whenever Archeron Falls comes about.

It doesn't look exactly like the Magister ones. If they were going to do a profile with a Pzf they would just add it surely, like they do new Aleph and Tohaa stuff. It's not necessarily a Pzf.
