I seem to remember that the "Earth Bastion Army" was going to be a part of the book after Asheron's fall when CA reaches Earth.

Love the new Naffatun and croc man. They win this month
Prefer the Umbra in the starter to this new one, looks more menacing and less weird.
Intruder looks good, bulkier then the older ones but still good
Best part of the ALEPH box are the deva bots. Drakios is at best ok, might change my mind if i see the actual mini. Scylla.... mhe.... Would proxy it with the Myrmidon hacker, looks allot better.

Not really a fan of the Naffatun I have to say. The body design is nice enough, with cool looking equipment, but the high neck collars and static poses just don't have the kind of fluidity and great capture of movement that the older style ones have. Could always use the models to proxy for something else I might not like in the Haqq forces, but I think I'll stick with the older style of miniatures.

They're incendiary specialists. The old models looked great in terms of posing, but they did not look like incendiary specialists because their gear was pretty standard. The vest was basically just a fuel tank, and the fatigues were pretty basic. These guys are covered in fire protection and body armour. Basically what you'd expect a fire fighter (in this case, a fire starter) to look like in combat in the future.

With all those layers of protection, you're not going to be able to move much.

They might have gone a bit too far towards 'bomb disposal', but they look awesome.
My biggest problem is knowing that they are probably going to tower over my othe Haqq stuff. It's making me consider just painting up my 'new' PanO stuff until we see more new Haqq releases in the current style.
I don't see the reasons to hate the Aleph stuff to be honest. They've done less convincing females in the past.
Croc man looks good, pose is boring though. I hope we see a nicely posed croc hacker or boarding shotgun (right?) soon.
Legate is interesting. Is he a different species than the existing model? I think he's going to look good on the table and in person, his range of motion makes him a tricky one to showcase in photos.

The naffatun. Sigh. They have such promise, but I really do not like those facemasks/helmets at all. A total deal killer, those. But I already have 3 naffatun, so whatevs. Govads soon, please, or Zhayedin. Either one will be good for me.

For the CA, Is that Darth Meany or Darth Icky this month?

Man, it's like all the awesome-sauce that got sucked out of Drakios and Scylla, resulting in their disjointed spinal disease, got concentrated in the other releases this month.

If nothing else, that face is an absolutely marvellous piece of sculpting. The photos don't really show how small that would actually be, nor how difficult it will probably be to paint!

The Umbra Legate aspect, of swinging the gun and sword around together like that, I feel shouldn't work but does..

Darth Boogywoogy. That's what comes to mind with that pose.

The face is excellent. The design, too, I really like. Just the pose is boring, but even that's grown on me too. If I get him I'll probably shorten the barrel to make a Combi rifle, I hear that's more useful.

Crocmen are Maori? Wow, the rest of the factions are screwed.

The galaxy is littered with the single-planet graveyards of civilisations which made the economically sensible decision not to explore space.

Crocmen have always been Maori. Iirc the original one poking his tongue out was inspired by a Maori dance.

It makes a world of difference. You can also use it as forward observer or hacker.

Thing is, these guys are presented looking like they are ARM 3, not ARM 1 as they actually are in the rules. The old miniatures could be easily passed off by saying that the suits they were were self-contained as well as being heat-shielded and fire-proof. The lore already stated that they were in a bit of a precarious position, as they were likely to have their fuel tanks explode by rounds hitting them, this time around as plastic trees said, they look like they have geared up to disarm large bombs, as well as flamethrow people to death!

Don't get me wrong, the miniatures are quite nice, but they just don't have the same feel for me. I'd likely use them to represent something else on the field, though. Perhaps Sekban's as they aren't my favourite looking sculpt either, and at least the armour is more suited.

It's not armour, it's fireproofed clothing.

Take a look at a firefighter sometime. Their clothes are really bulky.

I don't always agree with Kan... but when I do he makes a helluva lot of sense.

I would have thought this look would be more indicative of how Ariadna Heavy Flamers would look, due to their technology level, compared to Haqqislam. But whatever. Here's hoping they scale well enough against existing Haqq miniatures.

New support pack. No new minis, but more of CB condensing their range to eliminate clutter & needless blister packs.

Is that a natural 21?

As it's come out of step with the general release window, I would hazard a guess at 'no'.

Although I'm not sure !

Given the issues with Dr Worm's base size fluctuating, and the fact that there are blisters of him in circulation with either 25 or 40mm bases (and sometimes even both), it's probably a necessary step.

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

Crocman is technically excellent but a little static.

I've never really seen 'static; as an inherently bad thing... Every model in a funky action pose gets just as old.

Aside from the slightly distracting cameltoe, it's a lovely sculpt... and a gorgeous paintjob.

Yes.

It doesn't matter if it is a resculpt or a repackage; it's a "release".

I'll take a little static over the "trying too hard" poses they used to have.
