Depending on when you bought him previously, he already was on a 40mm base. His base size has been a point of contention for quite a while. Base size is one of those things I wish they did like Malifaux. It's obviously an important part of the model, just like silhouettes. Either, in the book, list the base sizes that go with the silhouettes, or stick it on each units profile, with things like Sapper (which changes your base size depending on what you're doing) clearly spelled out in the rules. So many people don't realize a Sapper is 40mm when in a Foxhole, and 25mm when not. You've got models which have been on sale with different sized bases (moreso now that some types of Remote have swapped to 55mm, along with TAGs and bikes). Update it on unit profiles in some way so it's clear how units should be based.

Is a sapper actually on a 40mm base when it is in a foxhole? Apparently not.
From the wiki;
Sapper
In the Deployment Phase, the figure with this Special Skill can be placed on the game table with a Foxhole Marker (FOXHOLE) beside it. In this state, the miniature is considered to be Prone and in base to base contact with Partial Cover in all directions, even though there may be no scenery item present, and it benefits from the CH: Mimetism and V: Courage Special Skills.
Foxholes are fixed positions, to leave them, in an active or reactive turn, requires use of the Get Up Short Movement Skill. Moreover, by spending 1 Order, the figure can dig a new Foxhole, placing a Foxhole Marker beside it and using the above rules. When a miniature leaves a Foxhole, it loses the CH: Mimetism and V: Courage Special Skills, unless it has those Special Skills in addition to Sapper. A Foxhole Marker is removed from the game table when a figure exits it. The Foxhole Marker cannot be used by any figure other than the Sapper.
All you require next to the model is a 'foxhole' marker, to denote the miniature is using that special skill. It is not require for it to suddenly be on a 40mm base. The only reason the miniatures with the Sapper skill were given a 40mm base was purely for decorative purposes.
But I am in complete agreement with you - They really need to note next to the model what size base goes with what to avoid this kind of confusion.

Well they do this now with silhouette size.
Doctor Worm was originally sold with (usually, but sometimes not) a 40mm base. But then he was S2 when N3 came out, then changed back to S3 again recently. Hence base size confusion.

Was he ever released on a 25mm? I know they've flip-flopped a few times (addressed as errors when acknowledged) in the unit profiles between the 25mm and 40mm base, but they're sticking to the S3 (40mm base) silhouette officially.

1) The wiki is for N2, the N3 wiki is not up yet.
2) Yes, you become a 40mm base when you use the Sapper skill. You can't even use the skill unless you can fit a 40mm base in the spot.

Dr. Worm and their slave drones count as a release. So, just 4 new miniatures this month. Anyway, this re-packs are usually a relief for production and packaging crews. I would guess they are decreasing the pressure for being able to release something BIG for GenCon. Last year we had Icestorm, this year we will have... firestorm? gak storm? Jungle Storm? Desert Strike?

"Sapper
Change of Base size: When a model uses the Sapper skill and changes from a 25mm to 40mm where is the new 40mm silhouette placed?
A: Use the pattern established by Combat Jump and White Noise. The 40 mm becomes effectively a
tiny template. The 25 would need to be within it. Knightofargh
Note that the skill can only be used if the 40mm base can be placed.
Outside of Cover after digging Foxhole: When a model with the Sapper skill is in total cover (no LoF) against a piece of terrain they declare an Entire Order Skill to dig a foxhole. When they enter the 40 mm S0 there is now LoF to an opposed model. Does that generate an ARO?
A: No. The Foxhole state only applies after the Effects step of the Order, after any chance of declaring an ARO has passed. Palanka
Unconscious and Foxhole: When a model with the Sapper skill is Unconscious do they remain in the foxhole state? How about LoL and Retreat?
A: The Foxhole state is cancelled by Null states. LoL and Retreat don't affect Foxhole. Palanka
Leave Foxhole: The get up Move order no longer exists. Do models with the Sapper skill get out of their foxholes as part of a normal MOV like getting up from prone?
A: Yes, the Foxhole state is cancelled as soon as the trooper declares a Movement. Palanka"
And yes, the Med Tech was originally sold on the 25mm base, because that's how mine was packaged. I still have to rebase him eventually.

Good time to but though... not a good time to buy.. if you take my meaning Still gotta consider that one. How's the fluffbook portion? As someone who barely gets to play anything, I'd be seeing the most use out of that.

Question: Where is the precedent that the base size changes from 25mm to 40mm, because it wasn't like that previously. So you now need to model your dude on a 25mm base, not use a marker next to the miniature to mark it as a foxhole, but now you place a 40mm template under it instead. I don't know how they suddenly came to the change in rules. Also, if you hadn't of made me aware of that thread, how in the hell would we have found out? Not until the new wiki was put up?

Thank you for the clarification.
Bringing it back in the direction of "news/rumors"... This kind of ambiguity is exactly why HS needed to be amended with a new release.
Can you imagine how tedious it would be to refer from to the N3 book, the old HS book, the old Paradiso book, a mess of FAQ, and then AF on top? The game would be unplayable and full of abusive strategies.

Your comment made me think about previous CB releases at Gencon.
2012- First Gencon for CB. As far as I know they brought Scarface & Cordelia as their pre-release product. Small booth.
2013- They had the Anaconda TAG (Pre-release) and the Artbook with PreOrder miniature (Miranda Ashcroft). Bigger Booth
2014- Operation Icestorm with pre-order miniature, Pre release of Penthesilea Bootleg and also limited exclusve miniature of the Neoterra Bolt cosplayer Tabitha Lyons. Bigger Booth. as far as I know this time was succesfull for CB because they sold out everything on Thursday.
2015- ??????????????????????
We have a pattern here, every year CB has released more stuff and obviously more powerful for Gencon. I think that this year Human Sphere will arrive at GenCon and probabaly with the USAriadna Starter Pack made with Grunts, Frontiersmen, Minutemen and Foxtrot.

The Janissary box sounds very intriguing. Passing intriguing. I was thinking the next Haqq box would be the Djanbazans, but I reckoned the Janissaries would get one eventually.
I suspect that you are correct here. And a tinbot would be a cool addition. But what 4 Janissaries? AP rilfe, HMG, BSG and the fourth? The tinbot? A Janissary Doctor even?
It will be interesting to see what that Tactical Bow looks like on a mini.
Edit: It looks like the Infinity Forums got an update. Very pretty.

The special surprise might be a unique Nasmat model. I mean, Jannisaries have an Akbar Doctor profile...
