Right.

Scratch that, then. Time to look through my random bits for this hypothetical project.

Yeah, SM heads would be way oversized there. something like hasslefree would be a much better fit. Gotta ask though: why the need to proxy/convert a De Fersen? That mini doesn't look *too* aged, does it?

As for desirable profile: it's been the spitfire that's seen most use around here. Hacker could be good too, I guess. Only PanO observers that really get played here seem to be auxilia (and one MO player with order sergeants, of course) - the rest just pales in comparison, bang/points wise.

He's definitely not the same bulk as the new guys. As with all the scale stuff it will either bug you or it won't.

I'm just not keen on the De Farsen model anyway, I'd probably convert him/proxy him were I to use him

Fair enough, hadn't really thought of it that way. it's a bloody good model but it does miss a little bulk in comparison to the new&shinies

Eh.

It's easily justified by the fact that Gabriele de Fersen started his life as a "successful young programmer who enjoyed a life full of depravity and excess", who then joined the Order of the Temple (Templars) and paid for a combat implant (of Templar manufacture) that allowed him to "activate accelerated combat routines".

He's a geek who bought himself an implant that turns him into death on two legs. He's allowed to be weedy!

I watched the movies Hackers and Kung Fury, so I'm an expert when it comes to hacking. I'm sure Gabriele could just hack himself some muscle if he wanted to.

I love Father Knight Hacker. Definitely one of my main MVPs most games. Also, if your local PanOs aren't using Forwars Observers, then they must not being playing Military Orders, because the Forwars Observer Order Sergeants are pretty sweet as well.

I don't know if you guys have been paying atention to Infinity this week but A LOT of stuff has happened.

First, official FAQ.

So, this file has incredible detail on some rules. I was a bit impressed by some of the clarifications here:

Does the Regular Order used for a Coordinated Order
need to be from the same Combat Group as the
coordinated troopers?

No. (OMG! So... you can have a 10 order combat Group and an 4 order secondary combat group... and make the 1st group spend 10 orders and 4 coordinated orders!)

Do Unconscious models count towards the (Combat Group) limit?
Yes. Unconscious troopers are still part of their Combat
Group. (So, this means that you cannot transfer a Unit from Combat Group A to Combat Group B if there are already 10 concious/unconscious units in it, they have to be DEAD to leave the empty slot.)

More stuff... They are going to accept more Warcors requests!

So, if you are the usual guy from the community that is always teaching everyone How to Play INFINITY and organizing tournaments, NOW is the moment to tell CB:
-"Hey, I'm spending hours on my life in something that ultimately benefits you, I demand rewards for this!"
Next Monday they will be open to this.

Apart from this... Mayacast has announced some kind of official online Corvus Belli Campaign coordinated by Beasts of War with missions, fluff and prizes. The name for this is: Operation Flamestrike.

The December releases will be:

Spektr
Father Knight
USAriadna Starter Pack ( desperadoes are delayed)
Achilles with Hoplite Armour
And
Kerail preceptors with Simbiobeasts.

That way,then left

Another interesting thing (that pretty much came out of nowhere) is Sappers having S3 (instead of being base-tall)

Quite curious to see Achilles and (later Desperadoes, and their profiles)

Oh those they're using - as I said. FO HI though? Nah, take a hacker instead. Usually De Fersen if you're willing to spend the points on an HI specialist; WiP 14 is pretty damn good for any PanO list

(OTOH using military orders at all is a pretty good way to gimp yourself in ITS currently, or at least that's the general feeling around here.)

Military Orders has some Sweet specialists. If you want to screw over your ITS game, play Morats.

Not our experience with MO. I don't play MO though, so maybe the dedicated MO players are just doing it wrong

Agreed on the morat otoh. I've basically shelved that project until folks around here cool down on its a bit.

Possibly. AVA Total Infiltrating TO FOs for 27pt a piece is pretty good for ITS games.

The pain being that it's pretty much your only trump card. Anyway, let's stop polluting the news topic with tactics before Alpharius has to jump in

Oh, that's a horn. I thought the green symbiobeast had a mouth-hole on the side of its head and that was a tongue sticking out.

Symbiobeasts are smaller than I thought they'd be, but they still look fantastic. Can't wait to see what rules they settled on for them.

So one would need a Facebook account for that giveway? Well, that's me disqualified. But at least I still have my pride... and privacy

The battlecats are very nice minis, but I am a bit leery that they have riders ( or whatever those things are). I think I would prefer that they be like Antipodes with a just a controller.

We get to see Jerkilles 2.0 soon enough. Who's pumped about that?
