One of my FLGS's has it for about 10% off. $90au compared to the old books $60au.

Considering the background book is about the equivalent page count of the entire second edition rulebook, then the rules book is even bigger, I'm comfortable with that price.

Well I'm tapped out until Feb, icestorm ate the last of my play $ till then so hopefully CB will have the rules up for download before too much longer.

It's generally 1 month after the books go on sale. If the expected release date is December, you're probably looking at January for the downloadable rules.

I'm excited. Release is supposed to be in December, then?

Wayland Games are saying 8th December, Dark Sphere are saying 17th December. I would guess 'before Xmas' is a reasonable assumption, although shipping times at that time of year might be a factor if it is delayed at all!

Incidentally, in the UK Dark Sphere have now got the rulebook on pre-order
    http://www.darksphere.co.uk/p.php?p=56920&c=239

Even cheaper than Wayland, £36 for the book and are offering £3.80 for P&P. So, less than £40 for the book which is the cheapest I have seen so far!
Although as mentioned above I would be careful using Royal Mail this close to Xmas (if you wanted it under the tree!)

Just to add in - The Combat Company, Australias biggest online retailer, is saying they're expecting them mid December.

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I'll be ordering from CB in the morning, they seem to ship to customers from their own web store first, and in the order they order it.

If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it.

For UK purchasers Arcane Miniatures are selling for £42.50 with free P&P (so pretty much same cost as Wayland/Dark Sphere above).

They are giving a release date of 8th Dec also.

    http://www.arcaneminiatures.co.uk/miniatures-detail.asp?ID=38018

Has anyone used Arcane Miniatures before? I know they used to have some pretty good deals on Infinity stuff (selling a month's new releases for 20% off if you bought all as a set, things like that)

They're taking their ICESTORM experience and applying it forward!

I'm guessing they're expecting delays, and maybe think that no date will mean a few less customer emails asking "WHAT'S UP?!?"

I know right? Although better communication without being forced would have just kept a lot more people happy than being forced to ASK in the first place.

Got mine on order from Element Games (UK) - £45 inc. courier delivery within 1-2 days is pretty reasonable. They have the release date at 8th December also..

Was going to order from Wayland, but then experienced the following.. after wanting to add to an order that's been on back-order/awaiting stock, this was roughly the transcript:
Me: "Is it possible to add some bits into the order that's currently on back-order?"
WG: "We can't add to an order, but if you make a separate order and then we can link them together."
Me: "Ok, great. So, which P&P option can I choose on the 2nd order so you can refund that amount?"
WG: "No.. we're not able to refund P&P"..

That's pretty weak, I thought Wayland had a good rep.

    Strange.
When I asked if I could add products to order awaiting stock, the Wayland CS rep just asked me to send him the product numbers and he would add the products to the order and send me paypal invoice about it.

Hmm, I must have got the office junior or something. I have ordered from Wayland plenty of times and it's been fine for the most part, things are sometimes a bit slow but I think that's probably down to the scale of their operation and things just being less personable.

Oh well, it was only for some paints and hobby stuff, not the end of the world!

In Wayland's defence (and I'm saying this as a direct competitor) that might be more to do with Royal Mail's absurd new restrictions on paint being limited to a maximum of four pots per parcel, regardless of the actual volume and regardless of acrylic paint not being a fire hazard. :(

Nice to hear that from a competitor actually, means a lot coming from you. I'd get back in touch, Pacific, with the pretence that you 'wondered if you had misunderstood'. If you get the same response then mention posting in this thread and ask if it's the Royal Mail thing?
