you will be more poor than me! you win!

I can't express how excited i am about the campaign. I do hope they erase the Necron/Ba brofist alliance though.

Did anyone see the Tyranid dice coming out? Anything interesting about them?

Wonder what the 'nid push is about.

I can't help but hope for the 8th ed. Starter box to be Leviathan vs. Naga... never going to happen.

All of mine are metal. I have at least 6 of them. I really don't want any more of them. Okay, maybe if they were a cool new plastic sculpt, but I really don't think they would debut a new Lictor Plastic sprue in a campaign box. Although, that wouldn't be a trerrible way to boost sales.

I think that since we have only seen one campaign box so far means that it's a bit presumptive to assume that another one would follow that method precisely.

The Nid push seems to be rooted in this new campaign offering. Probably GW is trying to get Nid player buy in as well as SM buy in, as they are two of the most popular factions.

The dice are nice looking, but you only get 10 of them. Would have been better if they gave you a whole cube, but such is life. I might pick up a set.

I must say I'm very interested in both the boxed set and the campaign. I have a friend who plays BA, so I am going to hopefully split it with him.

I have to say, I do really like the look of the new Tyranid kits now I've seen the 360 degree photos on the webpage. The Dice are pretty cool as well, might pick my self a set of those as wound markers or psychic dice.

Only available while stocks last, these Tyranid dice are the perfect accessory for any avid Tyranid fan.

This set of ten 16mm bone-coloured dice are presented in a stylish printed tin. Each die has purple spots numbering 2-6 with a Tyranid icon replacing the 1 spot - which you hopefully won’t see much of...

Did GW just cut the price of starting tyranids by about half?

They have a box set on the site called "Tyranid Swarm".
It has 10 gargoyles, 40 hormagaunts, 40 termagants, 1 carnifex and 4 ripper swarms. The price is $170US. Those things add up to $328.75

Am I seeing this right?

Just checked the GW site, both Venomthrope and Zoanthrope are nowhere to be seen, not even showing as out of stock, no entry for them at all. This could be nothing, or it could mean a plastic dual kit is coming out soon.

The objective of the game is to win. The point of the game is to have fun. The two should never be confused.

Has GW ever released something like the Lictors before only in a large boxset or early access before? ...to increase sales Genuine question btw.

This boxset if real would suit me for sure

Really really like the malefactor, such a cool mini and concept. Unfortunate that it's rule sucks so much (though I'm starting to wonder if their's an error in the white dwarf, I cant believe his crappy power is charge 2. Could it be a mistake, like sanctuary in the psychic cards ?).

Dont really like the toxicrene, might be because of the bad color scheme, but presently, i'm not too impressed.

So, I know everyone here is excited about all this but, is it bad I am simply excited because there will be more tyranid head bits in the dakka swap shop for me to buy to put on my Space Marines as trophies?

Or perhaps they intend simply to remove the Venomthrope and Zoanthrope from the codex and replace them with the Toxicrene and Maleceptor respectively? What a great way to drive sales of the new kit! Expect a new FAQ with errata soon.

That would be ...incredibly frustrating. Why do you plant the seed of doubt!?

I don't get why everyone hates the Leviathan scheme so much, I think it looks pretty good...especially when compared to the alternatives; purple and bone is more pleasing to my eye than bright red and turquoise, anyway. Kraken's not much better because it's the same bone color but with a dirty, brownish red instead of purple. I can't think of any other notable Tyranid schemes, other than the one that pops up in White Dwarf a lot which is probably the ugliest one there is, in my opinion; bright green and putrid yellow...

Paint them however the hell you want, it doesn't really matter, I just don't see what's so offensive about the box/codex scheme for Tyranids or any other army, really.

Anyway, did anyone take a look at the dice yet? I thought they looked kinda cool at first, although having the symbol replace the one instead of the six side seems kind of odd and is bound to cause confusion since typically it's the other way around, but I was kinda disappointed to see the actual symbol on the dice doesn't look anywhere near as cool as the one pictured on the tin; it has no legs, the head is different, and the detail looks way less sharp.

Oh curses GW, I actually want to pre-order this. Use Tyranid dice with my Tyranid killing SM army. I love that idea.

Does anyone know why the logo design on the tin is different from the far simpler version on the dice themselves?

What's amazing to me is that they're $1.70 a die. For a game where you often need to throw dozens at a time, especially with hordes of tyranids.

Hm, that is a bit ridiculous. I like the design but, I'm sure I could order one elsewhere like Etsy and get a fan made job of it.

This can't be surprising. Remember this is a company who charge £10 for a 'mould line remover tool' and responded to major QC issues by releasing liquid green stuff for customers to fix the problems themselves. I'm actually a little shocked this tin actually contains any dice, and they're not just an extra purchase...

Last I can remember was during Apocalypse I. The new Space Marine Vindicator kit came out as the linebreaker squadron of 3 tanks before being released as an individual box. The squadron had both marine and CSM sprues as well, while the individual tanks had the light and dark flavor boxes. Same with the Autarch on bike in the windrider box at the same time, that later got a general release.
