Why does everyone talk gak about the color nard is an amazing painter and this is his army not yours so who the hell cares what color he paints them?

Colors are not for girls or guys or for gay or straight they are colors the only meaning they have is to be a color why do people have to put some stupid label on everything cant you just appreciate a great paint job?

What the heck are you talking about? I don't see any posts equating the color with gender or sexual orientation except yours, and very few people have talked crap about the color, and those that have also praised the painting ability/execution.

I can honestly say I don't like the color choices, I prefer more a 'natural' coloring for my 'Nids, but can also honestly say, these are fantastically painted, regardless of my opinion of the color scheme.

I absolutely love your scheme, Nard. I loved it ever since you first posted it. However, I've gotta say that I don't think it's working with that model. It's simply too much pink because of how much more flesh area there is than on other Tyranid models. I think it needs some more contrasting color on the fleshy bits to make it pop more because right now it looks unfinished and too pink, to me. Specifically, I think picking out the veins in the green would break up the mass of pink.

Totally agree. Looking back through your catalogue, I think your Tervigon's need this, too. Outside of that, it's excellent quality painting as always.

Look at the second response from winterwind85. It is totally offensive but I will just assume the poster is 9 years old and from the backwoods and leave it at that.

Back on topic... Beautiful work! I will share in what some others have posted and comment that I thought these were hi-tech 3D rendered digital images at first. I would love to see a Gargoyle Brood painted like this.

Yeah, the darker shadows on the most recent Tyrannocytes is definitely the way to go, I think. It gives the models more contrast and improves the depth of the model a lot.

but its not just this colour scheme (which I love by the way I think shocking colours suit nids I see them able to change from camo colours to combat colours as needed) the cysts as droppods and as tyranids within the range don't have a good balance of chititious area to body that's hard ribbing to fleshy nubbing they just too blobby. it effects there paint jobs.

Love your nids, very eye catching. Pink works great. However, the Broodlord doesn't look as clean as the rest of your models, you seem to have lost some of the effect around the arms and veins of the head.

Top notch stuff though!
