Didn't they release gameplay rules in videos? I cant seem to find them but I swore they showed how a turn worked at one point??

Also yea the language is an issue, even Knight Models Marvel game has a lot of rules problems because of the language barrier

(Almost.)

(If you're a backer.)

Update #82

Let's start packing!

[EN] Hi guys!

Received all the printed stuff so we can start packing and shipping in the following days so please, don't change your delivery address from today on!

There are a LOT of moving parts with this one - I hope my moderately complex order gets packed out correctly!

I have a spreadsheet though - I know what's what!

A big post from somebody who's got their fallen frontiers stuff delivered

http://noobsandtheirpaintbrush.blogspot.co.uk/2016/05/fallen-frontiers-kickstarter-from-scale.html

generally a positive review, but a LOT of mould slip with his Ares faction eg

The biggest problem I have with the Ares models shows itself quite visibly here - mold slippage. Pretty much every other area of the casts in the whole box are great. Minimal mold lines and flash, really crips details, easy to use pegs for assembly, then you get to the mold slippage. Quite frankly, it brings back memories of finecast Space Marines, and they're memories I'd rather forget. The heavily armoured Ares troop legs suffer the most, but it does also affect one or two Sayx pieces.

(what I find most disappointing is it's obvious enough that any sort of semi decent QC from either the caster or the company should have caught it especially as so many of them are individually bagged up)

but that said it does look good and is going to be one of those KS I wish I'd backed

That is not a good thing...

I'm betting that the Ares faction was one of the more popular ones too.

Hopefully it isn't too bad.

I'd bet that popularity directly relates to the mold slippage.

I hope it's not too bad also. That was the faction I most heavily invested in.

Yeah, that's the point I was driving at too!

Mispacks and missing models are, I suppose, to be expected as well. Especially as complex a pack out this must have been.

I just hope they have a good customer service system set up and ready to rock...

Glad to see this getting shipped out to the backers of this project, I was not brave enough to back it myself but the results (mould slippage aside) look very good. It was easy to be cynical about this KS but Scale seem like their heart is in the right place, and given the real life tragedy that hit them a 9-10 month delay does not seem that bad.

Now to see if this hits UK retail anytime soon.

It is good to see this one now shipping - but I think it will be...quite a while before they're done.

It doesn't appear as if many packages are leaving each day.

But still, at least they are on the way!

The scale...'issue' between the 2 versions of Fink Dradd is...alarming!

Still looking forward to getting mine in though!

I'll be waiting a while for mine, went Riff vs Sayx, no other add ons that I recall, and didn't fill in the pledge manager for a fair bit.

It's almost like handcasting ten of thousands of large scale multi-part minis was gonna take ages

Although I'll be happy with any scale issues like that one in the review, will mean I'll also a have some minis that match other stuff. If you're still following this thread Scale I'll be happy for you to mess up every mini in my box and have them turn out smaller

Yeah, that really is bad - I would hope/want/expect (?) Scale75 to want to address and fix that.

That is really bad indeed, I hope they fix it, the brittleness or resin mentioned is also worrying.

I just received my parcel, didn't have time to check everything but my first impressions are very good.

I ordered some figures from every faction except for ares, the casting looks great, I couldn't see any mold slip on the individual models I checked.

I will have a more thorough check when I have more time, but so far I am very happy with what i have.

Oh, and the people who are saying that the material is too delicate; it's resin, with some thin components, what did they expect?

Nice!

A couple of questions!

1) How quickly did you complete the pledge manager?

They're shipping pledges in order of completion, and from what I've seen so far they're still only on the "DAY TWO" completions - TWO MONTHS into starting shipping!

I understand the orders were very custom/unique, but...wow!

2) What number 'pledge' are you? Apparently this number will be on your pack slip in the box?

Thanks!

I was reasonably quick with the pledge manager, IIRC I completed it in the first 24 hours.

There is a slip in the box which says that my Game Box Number is 88/500, but I'm not sure what that means: were there 500 backers?

Edit: I should point out that I also received a free figure, one of the "fatty" Harvesters (I forget its actual name!). I was going to get some of those at retail so I'm really pleased

Edit #2 : The Riffs are amazing, now that I have got them in hand they are easily my favourite faction. I can see myself investing more heavily in this once it hits retail.

Did you get both of the versions of the Riff character 'Fink'?

If yes, did you also get one that is out of scale on the small side?

Anor Londo

No, I didn't get the other version of Fink, looks like I may have dodged a bullet there.

I got the Riffs vs Sayx set, Harvesters Combat Force, plus a few characters; everything is in the same, glorious scale.

53 high quality resin figures for $165, I dunno how Scale75 have done it, amazing really.

It was a great deal - and they seem to have pulled it off without too many issues, but there have been some.

The "Fink Draad" one being one of the worst, and I don' t think they're being particularly responsive to customer service inquiries.

But overall, I think it's been a good KS experience.

So far!

Pre-orders for Fallen Frontiers are now live on the scale75 website:

http://www.scale75.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=84_85

The prices for the heroes in particular are significantly higher than during the KS

That is definitely an interesting pricing structure.

Nothing here yet either, but I definitely waited until near the end of the PM timeframe before I filled it out too.

Can't remember why, but...I'm one of the Last in Line too!

Just checked my emails. Apparently I closed my pledge on the 11th April 2015.

You made me look!

I closed mine on March 13th, 2015.

And I'm guessing my package wasn't mailed until last week too...

I've read it both ways - some people did, some people didn't.

I don't think Scale75 realized the scope of this campaign, and all the efforts it would require.

They underestimated...

[puts on sunglasses]

...the scale of this whole thing!
