Yeah, there's little really to compare to a show where children and young teenagers are encouraged to trap wild animals inside balls and then use them in bloodsports in return for money, fame, and other prizes.

Yeah in season 0 people died, like it was dark and...had far less to do with the cardgames, more just, Yugi getting the crap beaten out of him and Yami murdering or torturing people.

I loved this show and bought into the game when it first aired in the UK on Sky I believe. Then I realised I couldn't use polymerisation to fuse monsters with turtle catapults to launch them over enemy defenses, and the game died for me. :-P

It's just someone being enthused about a cartoon. I don't think anyone should be too concerned about or insulted by someone's hyperbolic profession of love for a cartoon.
