What's "fairthful and loyal"?

So long as the Cardinal is not trying to carve out his own kingdom or usurp the primacy of the Emperor as God, it's not like there isn't a huge room for interpretation and the Cardinal's word to be law otherwise. To argue any different is to suggest the Ecclesiarchy follows some wacky pattern that literally ignores all human precedent, lol.

40K is filled with wacky crusades by the Ecclesiarchy that proceeded unchecked, and it's pretty silly to assume the Sisters weren't involved in most of them. They attacked Fenris without questioning why. Seems like it stands to reason that they're pretty much along for the ride unless there is clear heresy.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

Among other things, for a Sister, it implies following a ton of specific rules.

Do not be silly, we all know why they attacked Fenris, and it was a goddamn good reason. They attacked Fenris because it is the homeworld of the light grey marines!

Heresy would be to refuse to fight against the people you are pointed toward without a very good reason. Not the other way around . That is why there is no need to have a “renegade” order, or some lunatic Cardinal, to get bloodthirsty Sisters.

Sisters don't side with the bad guy? Goge Vandire begsto differ.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

GW is scared of girls. Why do you think they have so much trouble sculpting attractive female models? Because girls have cooties and the staff at GW don't like looking at them for too long because it makes them feel funny in their naughty place.

Technically they weren't the Sisters back then though :p. Besides, they chopped his head off in the end after getting a chance to kick an impressive amount of Space Marine's butts so it's all good.

They did so only after a Custodes and the Emperor himself slapped them and told them to stop acting like idiots, though.

It was a learning experience. They're slightly more careful about that sort of thing, these days.

Why would they have to? The Space Wolves shot down an Ecclesiarchy ship. As the Ecclesiarchy's standing army, of course the SoB would respond. The Ecclesiarchy didn't just order the attack on a whim.

We don't actually know what happened with the Emperor, though. And the Custodes were less slappy and more respectful and diplomatic.

The Sisters never actually fought under Vandire. They served as personal bodyguards.

They'd probably ally with Guard/Frateris, or a variety of Space Marine flavours.

My $0.02, which since 1992 has rounded to nothing. Take with salt.
