I'm just ramping up a stormtroopers force myself, so it's good to see someone else building one up too! I was actually thinking of doing a green armor/khaki BDU scheme like yours for my guys, but I think I'll need something that'll fit better with the winter theme I'm going for. Good work so far!

Instead of painting one or two Scions at a time I'm going to set up a production line. Got 20 more Scions, and 5 Scion command squad members to go.

I still need to get 6 painted that I've had since April. Great work though.

Cool stuff, you say all that other stuff came in the kit apart from the bodies and legs? That's pretty awesome!

There won't be very many updates for a while. I'm definitely overwhelmed with the amount of models I need to paint. No more buying anything else until I finish this stuff first. Unless I see a really good deal on eBay

Ask and you shall receive:

This is what they look like after all washes and before the final coats/highlights. Lots of little things I need to neaten up too. Also, I need to switch the tan up by their neck to green.

You made the stormies look great. I see the rear of the Taurox and think Bank vault doors.

Except this bank is filled with hot-shot lasguns aimed at your face.

I want to start playing some games for once, but I realized that I have nothing to transport my army in. So I just ordered one of these:

I don't plan on building a HUGE IG/MT army, so this should be enough. I want to start another army once I get to around 1,500-2,000 points of IG.

Got this in the mail today. $10 Taurox Prime bits, it's all here. Sorry GW, I'm no longer buying directly from you, these prices are too good to pass up.

Did you buy a whole Taurox Prime model for $10?

On eBay yes. Plus about $4.50 in shipping, so it came out to around $15.00. I think I got lucky on this one, I bid at the last minute and won all of the little bags you see. Each bag was up for auction individually, they usually start at $0.99. It depends on how many people bid on it I guess. If nobody is really paying attention to it, you can get some REALLY good deals.

Here's a few other items I bought on eBay a while ago, they come in these little bags. It's pretty convenient if you only need a few bits. But I saw a whole set of Taurox bits up for auction so I had to bid on them. The grenade launcher did not come with the arms, I just put it in there for later.

Too bad ebay or secondhand selling these toys isn't really a thing where I live :/ And when it is, people want to sell full armies at once.
Still, impressed with you finding your bits at those prices. Why would anyone still bother selling those bits at these prices when there's guys like you around? :p hehe
Have you tried painting a scion with a silver trim by the way? Just asking out of curiosity (:

I did try one and did not like it. With the the silver already on the backpack and gun it was just too much. I still want to add a stripe or something. They need something.

I'm still thinking about trying yellow. It would be like the one GW does.

I could live with a Taurox for 10bucks(they are so silly looking by GW), but the ones with tires added, like the Victoria Miniatures set did, helps make them look a bit better.

I see you went with the missile rack on the back of that one.

Here's the four Scions I posted last time. They're almost done, I just need to do the eyes and wrist thing, and then base them. Also, I got the case I ordered today. It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be, but it will definitely have enough room for the size of my IG/MT army will eventually be. I may have to get another smaller one for some more IG tanks.

Comes with 3 infantry foam trays and 1 for tanks

There's room for another Taurox, Chimera, and plenty of space in the middle for turrets.

Nice case, and good painting!

Two things I would suggest, it may not seem like a lot but drilling out the barrels on the guns makes a huge difference, and secondly I would upload your pictures to the dakka gallery as they re size them and will give you the option between the original re sized or a new one that has been re sized and fixes the lighting problems if you are having any.

I'll look into getting something to drill them out. And I have no idea how to use the gallery. These pics are pretty bright.

Super simple, you go to gallery, then click upload your wargaming pictures. Then upload your pictures from your computer or from the internet ie) imgur etc.

Not bad case for the elite army you have! if you do grow a bigger forces, I do recommend the bigger cases from Battlefoam It has basically a travel case extended hand grip and wheels.

I don't plan on building a huge army. I want to start a new one when I get to around 1500 points. I'm thinking about doing Necrons next.

Alright, first time adding damage/weathering to a vehicle. What do you guys think? Too much? Too little? I didn't want to add too much, and some of the scratches are hard to see in the pictures.
