Speaking of Apocalyps games. We had 1(one) in my store. Set up took 5 hours and we were playing on the weekend. I had the "luck" of being on the not starting side. Turn one happened and took almost 2 hours, after which the store owner said he is closing down as we will never get to finish our turn and the shops closes sooner on weekends.
For almost 9 hours , including bus drive to the shop] , I was standing doing nothing. After that we never had more apocalyps games. Not even smaller ones.

I rolled poorly on Seize the Initiative, opponent got the first turn. He shot his Battle Cannom at my Rippers and got first blood. I rage quit so hard, flipped the table and proceeded to beat the guy to death the remains of his Russ. When others tried to stop me, I grabbed a metal dreadnought from the broken display case and dreadsocked them all before the SWAT teams arrived and...
For feth's sake, if anyone gets angry because of a game like this, go home and take industrial strength anaesthetic because you need to calm the feth down. Frustration I can understand but not anger.

Angriest moment was way, way back, playing 3rd edition right after it came out.
I had an Emperor's Children army and was playing against Tyranids. In 2nd edition, my CL was a cc monster who just ate opponents. I could count on him to eat a couple units each game on his own.
In 3rd edition, he was not as good. The Tyranid player, otoh, had an army that was vastly improved by the new rules. I remember my CL got eaten by his genestealers, it made me upset that things changed so much between editions, and I was going to update my army.
I spent time working out what it would take to make my army competitive again. The cost would have been over $150. I ragequit right there over the edition creep and exorbitant costs of playing the game.

Once in a game vs grey knights i charged 10 assault marines, a reclusiarch with a fist, and priest with a fist into a dreadknight. Even with rerolls to hit and str5 i dealt all of 2 wounds, which he saved. Power fists completely wiffed.
Next turn another asm squad jumped into terrain. Had to take 5 dangerous terrain tests. Rolled five 1s, then failed all 5 armor saves and all 5 fnp saves.
I threw my dice at the wall and quit playing for a month.
In retrospect it was stupid to get that angry, and i havent since then (its been 2 years). But still, very frustrating.

Here's my one: I didn't get so much angry as I did absolutely irritated. I was playing a game against this kid (he was probably 12, maybe 13). Now, occasionally he gets things "wrong" (deliberately, that is); such as giving Thousand Sons a 5+FNP and 3+ invul. Ignoring some of their special rules. This is even after checking the Codex, by the way Giving a Daemon Prince 2 - 3 extra wounds, and about 2 toughness values higher... I did start checking his Codex shortly after I found out. This isn't what bothered me, this was just for a bit of knowledge on the opponent. So, playing this game (where I found out that TS don't have FNP), he manages to turn his Sorcerer locked in combat into a Greater Daemon of some kind (GUO, I think). He charges in on the same turn and tries to claim bonuses from some-such rule on all of his guys locked in that combat (I believe it was VotLW). I told the kid "It's not the first round of combat for all of them just because a new guy charges in", a guy watching starts trying to tell me it is, and I objected. He tells me the same thing again, so I'm about to say "Can you please show me where it says anything like that?" so he cuts me off before the first word is even out of my mouth and starts yelling at me "Just play the ****ing game, it's the first round of combat so all his guys get Hatred". Now, the two things that pissed me off were: 1) The fact that this spectator (let's call him Bob from now on) started yelling at me. I hate getting yelled at. Seriously pisses me off and makes me feel like getting violent (for personal reasons). 2) Bob will tell you "I know how to play the game, so stop back-seat gaming" if you try to mention a ruling that they didn't do/forgot when Bob plays a game, which he'd actually done to someone a few weeks earlier. It was kind of understandable-ish when he did it, I figured the guy he yelled at kept doing it previously and he'd been told to stop. When Bob was sat there attempting to do the same to our game just a little while after, and to someone else's game a few days prior, it kind of pissed me off. Oh, and when his son (let's call him Sam) tried to tell him he forgot his HoW, Bob yelled at him, saying "Shut up, Sam, I know how to play" then realised that he had actually forgotten his HoW. Bob didn't apologise, he said nothing to his kid. He just blanked Sam for the rest of the night (about 4 hours). Edit: What I did? Nothing, sadly. I wish I'd said something to him.

Angry because of the game? No. Frustrated, yes, I'll feel frustrated and maybe a bit sad the game is just not being fun at all.
Angry because I discovered my painted models I spent so much time on were falling apart? Yes. So much yes. I learnt the hard way GW's plastic glue really sucks. REAAALLY sucks.

How true. Funny how they hate the game so much, refuse to play it yet evident spend at least 12 hours a day spamming forum boards about it. You would think they would have moved on instead of trying to force everyone else to hate it as well.
True, i get frustrated in game about cheesy combos but more often at myself for making a bone head mistake like forgetting to do stuff.

Never got mad but I watched a guy one time at the shop throw his model off the wall. Picked up the pieces of what was left put it in his battlefoam bag and started to kick the bag. After done kicking the bag claimed that battlefoam was junk because it did not protect his models. I must of stared at the guy for 10 minutes like he had a dick growing out of his head. Have not seen or heard of the guy since but he was the talk of the shop for awhile.

The angriest I have gotten in a game of 40k was my friend bringing a tournament net list to a friendly game complaining that it was the only way he could win a game(we've gone pretty much 50/50 for the last several years, before that he solidly stomped me every game). It wasn't even a fun list he ran, 2 nurgle daemon princes with wings jinking every turn for 2+ cover save. and getting all biomancy powers to buff there toughness by 3 and maxed out number of chaos spawn. he had never fielded any of this before but after reading forums became deluded that in friendly games it was his only chance of a fair game.
It has been several months and I still have not played him again, if it is not going to be fun then there is no point in playing, not sure that i will ever play him again. To be clear I still consider him a friend, i just really don't feel like playing him when he is going to be way over competitive in a more friendly setting. I didn't even play 40k for over a month after that as it had just made the game unfun.

I will share this story, although it's embarrassing.
Normally I'm a fluff player. I get irritated with the game sometimes because depending on the codex, trying to run a fluffy army tends to result in getting curb-stomped by anyone who's keeping their list up to date. But the vast majority of the time, I don't play to win, and I don't care who wins. I tend to be a benevolent rules lawyer, pointing out mistakes but not forcing people to take rules back, or saying "you could totally do this right now" when it's to my detriment to point it out, etc. I give people the benefit of the doubt. I almost always lose when I play. I do this because I don't really care about winning, I just want both people to have fun. But another part of why I'm not a competitive player is because, rarely, I really get upset about losing.
So at some point in the past, my friends and I, who generally never play competitively, organized a college sports-esque 750 pt season amongst ourselves. We had more armies than we had people, due to friends in the past moving away and leaving armies behind, so we sort of took "ownership" of multiple armies for the tournament. I took a shining to the Dark Eldar army, who were not favored in their division (which we did by rough geography in the galaxy), but I thought if i played them well in the "regular season" they could barely make the tournament, and get a good seed in the sweet 16. Needless to say this was fun as heck overall, but it was a grueling number of games and it got more heated at times than we even expected.
Anyway, the "regular season" came down to the Dark Eldar needing to secure a win against the Eldar to advance to the tournament. I had decided the Dark Eldar were going to be a Cinderella story and make it in spite of the odds; meanwhile my marine-playing friend had stepped in to control the Eldar for that game, with no clear interest in which of the two armies advanced.
I played the Dark Eldar decently against what was a stronger Eldar list; I had almost nothing left but had the Eldar on the ropes. I basically needed to make a relatively short charge with my Succubus and a handful of wyches against the last remaining Fire Dragon, which would have secured an objective on the last turn and won me the game handily. If I failed that charge, I would lose. He missed his overwatch; I rolled charge distance. The result was a 3 and a 2. As we hadn't premeasured the distance, I didn't know I was in, but it looked a bit short. We had been drinking (obviously), so I immediately said "no worries, I have fleet", picked up the dice, and re-rolled the charge. It came up 2 and 1. I shakily measured the distance; it was actually 4.5", and I had made my charge and re-rolled without checking, for no reason. I sort of asked for a call on it, saying "...dude I actually made that, right?"
He said "Well.... you did choose to re-roll it..."
We went back and forth on it a bit, but he stood by his call. And that's where I totally lost it. For once I actually really cared about winning, or at least cared about not losing. I was really rooting for the Dark Eldar to advance, even though they would never win it all, and meanwhile the Eldar were no one's main force. Most importantly, it was the sort of call I would have easily handed to my friend, like "sure, you technically made the roll, it was a mistake, make your charge and we'll move on". But no, I lost the game because of that. In the end it didn't matter at all, but I flew into a rage over it. Mostly because after years of ceding points when the outcome didn't matter to me, my friend wasn't giving me quarter when it didn't matter to him. And for once, I cared about victory an unusual amount. And I let him, and everyone who was spectating, know this in the most uncomfortable manner possible, at the top of my lungs. It was truly embarrassing.
Also, whiskey played a large role in this, so let this be a lesson of sorts: don't take 40k seriously, ever, it's far too ridiculous and fickle a game. And if you do, for god's sake, don't drink too much while you're doing it.

I have a friend. I don't want to be a donkey cave, but he has a habit of not reading the codexes. Because of this, I have vowed to wreck him with a netlist once for every game he won due to not knowing rules.
Montage mode!
-Treating all markerlights as networked.
-Treating Nova Charge as if it gets off on a 2+.
-Treating Kustom Mega Blastas as if they aren't gets hot.
-Playing Unbound. In 6th edition.
-Playing Tyranids for a year, never buying the codex, using the unit stats from the back of a rulebook, and saying that he got the points values memorized from Army Builder.
-Personal Teleporter means no scatter deep strike!
-In addition to Hammerhand and whatever else, GK squads generate additional powers!
-Vortex of Doom can be fired out of a Land Raider!
-Not believing me when I said Signature Systems were limited to 1 of each per army...
-And not believing me when I said you could only put 3 things on a Crisis suit!
-Hammerheads can take Velocity Trackers!
-Not knowing Warp Talons had Invulnerable saves. :(
-Thingy of Sacrifice gives the whole squad the bearer has joined IWND!
-Walkers and MCs move 12" in the movement phase.
All of these things has since been rectified, but it's funny going back and remembering the mistakes. I have some too, such as believing Power Weapons were AP1 in 7th....

The most annoyed I can remember getting was a game where I had the worst dice rolls in my gaming history. I think I killed about 1 model over the 5-6 turns of game-time. Laughing off the first few bad rolls was fine, but after that it felt like something was taking the piss.

I once forgot about the bonus attack you get to charging a unit. I only had a Zoanthrope on the board, but if I could remove his Warlord, I would have won the game.
That proved to be decisive as my opponent (after losing combat), only just made his Ld check and had I caused one more wound, I would have got Slay the Warlord/wiped out the unit it was attached to and won it 6-5 as opposed to lose 4-5 (Purge the Alien KP).
Literally a single roll of the dice could have won me the game and keep my record unbeaten, which I was proud of having been relatively new to the hobby.
I didn't do anything to my opponent as he played well and I congratulated him on the win (had a nice bite to eat afterwards as we were friends) but it dawned on me as soon as we got to the takeaway. My opponent and I joked about it but I was pretty annoyed at myself for forgetting a basic rule.

So embarrassing.
I was playing an Orcs & Goblin Warband in Mordheim. (This is part of the problem, as it's a campaign game and models you take a shine to can advance and become brilliant, or, worse, advance, become brilliant, and then get badly crippled and useless.)
There's a scenario with a treasure chest that you need to drag off the board to win. The model that gets the treasure chest gets extra XP, and you get the contents of the chest.
I had spread out my guys, and had successfully taken out all of my ranged opposition and nearby opponents, so no one could stop my Boss from taking the chest. However, he moved really slowly dragging it by himself.
Unfortunately, taking out the opposition had also whittled my warband down, so I was taking "Last Man Standing" (or whatever they were called) checks to avoid breaking and running for the hills, also dropping the chest. Orcs had (as usual) terrible Leadership, but amazingly, I made the first roll...and the second....and the third...and the fourth...
and then, less than 2 inches from the board edge (and victory), with NO OPPOSITION anywhere nearby, my Boss panics, drops the loot, and bottles out.
I grabbed the model and hurled him to the ground, bending him quite severely. If he had scarpered off at the first opportunity, I would have been okay, but seeing victory SOOOO CLOSE just made me insane.

Ran my space marine army against my mentor's Eldar, jetbike hit and run army. Between the wave serpent with the firelords and the wave serpent with the banshees, I literally couldn't get a good shot off, barely killing his dire avengers then getting slaughtered by his wraith lord. I don't understand it, but it was the most unlucky dice rolling I'd ever had (my terminator deep strike unit even landed in a dangerous terrain and during the test, only two lived! I rolled more ones then than ever in my life. He even apologized for tabling me in 4 turns. It was better the second game we played, but I was just getting frustrated that the dice were not in my favor at all.

I don't know if I could say I've ever gotten angry, though my biggest WTF moment was actually just this past Sunday. It was out monthly Apoc game, and I arrived a tad late, about 10 minutes or so (Though they knew I was on my way). Upon arriving, they told me to set up on the far end, so I did. Come to find out, I didn't have anyone to fight on my end...so I had to spend several turns running EVERYTHING up.
Then, one of our players arrived an hour or so late, but still wanted to play. We all agreed, so he then deployed his entire force...behind mine. He spent a full round shooting, taking out 8 of my Stompa's HP, killed off 4 of my 12 Kanz, 6 of my 10 Nob Bikers, and popped my Morkanaught. I then spent my next turn retaliating against him to regain the objectives I'd just lost.
After that turn...he packed up to go to work. I was a bit stunned. When I asked our organizer about it, he was fully aware from the start that the player in question was not sticking around for long.
I wasn't really mad, but I was annoyed they allowed him to drop in, waste a good portion of my forces, allow me to waste a full round of combat on him when I could have ignored him and moved up further had I known he was dropping out right afterwards.
Made me a very sad Ork.

Closest to anger I've ever felt was in a game of Space Marine V Space Marine (I think it was Raven Guard V Clan Raukaan) my captain ended up in a challenge with my opponents captain.
He had no weapon and my weapon was AP3 so neither of us could get through the 2+ armour we both had.
First I "raged" when he failed his 6+ FnP with 1 Wound left and the next turn when my captain failed his save which caused him to die.

Was in Poland or Germany where there were pretty regular fisticuffs over games.
