I am looking at the Stormlord and i can see that adding a couple of Primaris Pyskers for Prescience and numerous other abilities in that table makes sense, but I am wondering if there is anyway to get that BS above 3?

Thanks,
Colgall

That's what I figured from my looking, but the second opinion makes it hurt worse.

Prescience + scatter reduce through INQ Servo skulls, that's likely the best you can get.

The stormlord doesn't have blast weapons - it packs a vulcan mega-bolter (with the all power to weapons!) ability to fire it twice.

It's the one guard superheavy where you really feel the pain of their lower ballistic skill. And yes, prescience is a good idea. For a pittance of points, you're increasing by 50% the firepower of a gun probably worth in the 200-250 point range by itself.

Prescience is all you need. A 75% hit ratio is pretty darn good.

I can see 2 easy options:

1) Prescience on a Primaris Psyker (50-75)
1.5) ML2 just to make sure you have enough dice for decent chance on a low roll in the Psychic Phase

2) Using a Command Squad? Kurov's Aquila for preferred enemy - bonus is now the Preferred Enemy bubble is ALOT bigger because of the footprint of the Stormlord

Prescience is 3 times better than Kruov's Aquila (re-rolls all fails instead of only 1s).

Inquisition have many slot for cheap warp charge (25 for HQ, 18 for each elite warp charge).

Nah, the Vulkan Mega Bolter isn't twin-linked.

Well il be damned. double set weapons almost always usually twinlinked.

So yeah prescience all the things!

You'd think people would be happy with being able to easily twin-link it or give it preferred enemy.

That isn't enough!?! Wanting to up its Bs as well!?!

Twin-linking is far superior to a BS increase anyway.

The difference between BS3 and BS3 twin-linked is better than the difference between BS3 and BS4. 50% better actually.

Both I would say! Run a big blob of conscripts with priest to bubble wrap the stormlord + ML 2 primaris for prescience goodies ( and maybe an Inq too to make sure it goes off) and a command squad with kurovs and fill the stormlord up with heavy weapons teams and Las sponsons = win (until they blow it up)

I have heard that FW's Horus Heresy Vol. 4 has a tank commander that can be added to any armored vehicle in the Solar Auxilia list, including Lords of War. He gives the vehicle's weapons BS4. But that's a lot of hoops to jump through just to get a few extra hits. A Divination psyker would be far easier.

By the time you're tossing thirty shots down the field does it really matter?

There's a really big difference between 50% and 75% hit rate (quite close to 25% btw).
