I... actually don't know. Help?

I really want to convert some Guardsmen, so I've started looking at http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/, and I'm impressed.
I want to make Veterans equipped with Shotguns. I have a list of potential things to order, and I'd like to know if anyone has any experience with this stuff.

That's the Veterans. I also have plans for normal Guardsmen, Snipers and MT Scions. Bear with me, more spoilers ahead.

Spoiler:
Normal Guardsmen!
http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/The-Armoury/Rifles-Shotguns-Pistols/Widow-Maker-Rifle With reflex sights and grenade launchers for the Guardsmen who have grenade launchers.
http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/Regiments/Weapons/Sniper-Rifle-Regiments Sniper rifles, together with bipods and flash suppressors.
http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/AFTERLIFE/Conversion-Parts/Grenadier-Legs-Advancing Legs. Do these fit on a normal Guardsman without looking awkward?
http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/The-Armoury/Specialist-and-Energy-Weapons/Fusion-Cannon Maybe this as a Melta?
http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/The-Armoury/Rifles-Shotguns-Pistols/Lance-Carbine This might work as a Melta/Plasma, seeing as it can switch back and forth from the two.
Also, the same revolver as before for the Sergeant

Now, Veterans with cooler Lasguns! Hoorah!

Spoiler:
http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/The-Armoury/Rifles-Shotguns-Pistols/Widow-Maker-Rifle With Tactical Scope, Suppressor, and Grenade Launchers, for those who need it.
http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/Exo-Lords/Heads-helmets-crests/Black-Ops-Helmets-Heads
And then the other leg/body thingies from the others.

I thiiiiink I've typed in everything I want. If you have any experience with this, especially the legs, please tell me if they fit on normal Guardsmen. Thanks!

These bits look quite good for a 3rd party caster. Let me know if you end up ordering them if the photos are an accurate example of their level of detail.

The detail in these bits, the legs especially, could really make for an impressive Imperial Gua....erm.....( ) Astra Militarum force.

The Black Ops parts are scaled for Space Marines. They will look huge on a Guardsman.

I use Anvil Industry heads for conversions. Bought a bunch of them to glue on Tau Warrior models to use as a human Gue'Vesa (mercenary) unit, also for SM sergeants.

The quality is excellent and there's basically no need to clean them, at least with the batch I was sent. Great casts. Detail was just as good as shown in the images, and the heads are perfect scale for use with 25/28mm stuff imo. The heads were great for my Tau stuff and Space Marine sarges.

I was recently commisioned to paint some tox models from Anvil. They're very clean sculpts with little need for much cleaning up. One thing I would say is a lot of their poses were at a bit unnatural angle on a flat base.

Anvil does some great work. I've got a range of their Afterlife miniatures and they are fantastic. I cannot recommend them, or the company highly enough. They really are great. (Now if only I could get around to painting them)

Now. Some of the stuff you've picked out is, as Peredyne said, scaled for space marine sized models.

These bits will fit regular human infantry (i.e - Imperial Guard)

These bits will not fit guardsmen and are designed for space marines.

Scale wise, their Afterlife range matches up very closely with GW's Imperial Guard. You can click on the images for bigger versions.

Their bases are great. That's all I've bought from them so far.

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!
