ohh yeah I'd hate to lose chapter tactics. especially as I think it was just such a great idea thats been well received.
It just should have been extended to provide the same basic idea for each Codex to reflect the different Craftworlds, Orders, Klans, Septs, Dynasties, Kabals, Wych Cults, Hive Fleets etc but no :(
That would have just made waaaay too much sense, though.

It's a fake. On the latest books, the word 'Codex' is smaller than the 'Warhammer 40k' logo at the top.

I like the look of the FW techpriest model but I recently saw it next to the FW thralls and it is really small next to them and attached to its base from what I hear so taking a pass on it.

GW ran out of armies but need to keep up the monthly codex releases to keep up the illusion of growth. I expect codex's on Exodites, all 3 other Chaos Gods, Mekboyz, Administratum, Kroot, Gretchins, Catachans, and SM chapters down to the Aurora Chapter level.
Ironically enough this book is probably the only "new" codex that I think was actually a good thing. Harlequins, Inquisition, Khorne, etc were all unnecessary for full-codex's and wastes.

Actually I think this is a very good thing; I'd much rather they spent design and production resources re-visiting ideas that haven't ever been realised in the game (or at least not in several decades) than re-releasing one of the current armies again, just so they can add some ugly, but must-have, unit with the "it's always been there, but you've never seen it before" excuse.
Give me Ork Klans, Kroot Mercs, Deathwatch and Tallarn!
Now, if only we could persuade them that a lot of these should be £15 supplements rather than full price codices, we'd be set!

And where are our blurry pics?! I can hardly wait to see more pics of the spider-tank! In that tiny pic it looked "meh", but after the quality of the skitarii and the walkers I'm feeling optimistic!
