Mechanicum -OR- Adeptus Mechanicus.

Two different organisations, separated by a massive galaxy-spanning civil war.

Eh... I'm still going to believe Lords of War saying full AdMech 'dex in May and hold out.

That said, if it is a whole year until it is released (watch it be May 2016), I'll have a whole year of saving for it

I guess someone from 4chan does, but they suffer from the same affliction of being able to take decent pictures. Found this on Warseer though:

I managed to find another by braving 4chan and spotted one of the description of the obliterator with a picture of marines around it, but it's so damn blurry you can't even read what the title says

Can't expect the greatest quality pictures from a cell phone sir. I did my best with it though. Just had to grab the WD when i saw it up for sale a few days early.

I don't know, it looks pretty stupid to me. Just a giant plasmagun on a tower, not really cool looking.

It would be cool if they didn't literally just upside a plasma gun. They could have made it amazing, instead they went for mediocre and kind of stupid.

It's not all that different from say the Plasma Blastgun on a Warhound titan (In fact, it seems to be a mini-blastgun)

crikey - you get a hammer of a mark up there. The mark up here in Korea is (thankfully, considering there is only only store in the country that actually sticks GW stuff) pretty ok. I just bought the Dragoon for W53,000 which works out as only about 2pounds over british rrp.

Long Jetty, The place is a dump

According to GW prices are based on currencies, well at 40 British Pounds that Onager Dunewalker should be about $78.00 AUD however we are paying $112 AUD which is 58 British Pounds which is 45% more than you pay, again GW proves that they don't go on currencies which is a bald face lie, they make it up as they go. Utterly Disgraceful GW ripping off the Aussies once again, i'll get it cheaper on Ebay.

Actually I think the markup might be because everything imported into Austrailia is taxed up the wazoo. From what I hear, everything is more expensive there not for shipping costs but because of massive taxes and tariffs.

GW product is not subject to tariff charges. Source Australian Customs Services.

Man... i was really hoping for more with that Plasma Obliterator... This is just a giant plasma gun in a weird tower...

It's rules are ok. I mean, that massive blast of s7 ap2 is really sweet for, what, 250 points?

But man it's ugly...

I think the plasma cannon doesn't look like the scale it is representing. It looks more like a giant plasma pistol than an actually large gun.

Picking up a box of Skitarii today tho, tres excited

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

I'm guessing that the Skitarii were released as they are to gauge how successful a Mechanicus release would be. Even if the Mechanicus release would happen regardless, it would at least give them an idea for sales figures and whatnot.

Meanwhile, the Plasma Obliterator looks a bit silly.

This. The full Codex and the rest of the models are probably already made, it's just a matter of HOW MUCH do they make for the future?

my guess is that they have plans for a expansion of the line, and proably have prototypes of other minis. but not all, and yeah the skitarii are sort of a "first wave" to test demand and get the "basic building blocks" out
really if you look at Skiratii, they have a reasonably solid foundation to build on. I think the msot glaring thing the admech need is heavy vehicles. and those are well served for individual releases down the line.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two
