MCs are AP2 anyway right
MCs can smash for double strength if you want to open a landraider
MCs ignore unwieldy though right? So those powerfists would be at init.
So it makes all of there attacks S10?
obviously. but how many times do you need a ton of str10 when you could have had a ton of str6
yes the fists give you +1 attack, but on 2 models that is just 2 attacks. compared to 6 TL str6 AP3 shots

The heavy blaster they get have almost the same stating as the mauler bolt cannons the fw guys get. So you wouldn't even need to try converting the weapons on the beautiful fw guys.
Also the point of the power fists is swinging at i2 with s10.
I do love the data smith model that comes with the robots I have to say.
I love the tracked guys. Great looking models and a lot of conversation potential.

Soo, anyone got any idea what thos cognis flamers do? (Presumably they're what the servitors have on their left arm) Seeing as on the auto/lascannon Cognis means the gun has bs2 when firing snap shots, I wonder what it'll do on the flamer. Maybe it will allow you to snap fire but with a penalty to wound?

The best thing about the new AdMech releases is that, combined with FW, you can pull double-duty having both a 30K and 40K army, and sub in components for what's cheaper and/or simply better looking:
I like the Kataphron units a lot more now that I've seen the hi-res pics. To be honest though, I'd want them more for conversion. Depending on their size, they'd do well as grot tanks, once the upper half is replaced with a turret.

Bad Moons [Orks]: 2,200pts (painted)

Or just build them as-is with Grots riding on them with bundles of wires or Atari-style joysticks in their hands...
How many posts is this about robots looking like some other robots?-GW loves to play off of SciFi tropes and aesthetics this is just a reaffirmation and if anything shows their success at doing it in this case.

I'm guessing 40mm... but that is purely a guess... no science behind it. If it's 32mm, he's pretty weedy (which, if he is supposed to be like the Explorator-Magos in Skitarius, he should actually be quite bulky and intimidating with all his augmetics and weapons).

I don't dispute that as I want to order these ASAP. That post was to make people laugh, I found it amusing, nothing more.

surprised that people are complaining about the prices on the robots. I was expecting worse than that
I don't think anyone is really "complaining" about the prices on the robots.
As of yet, it still has to be further confirmed. If that's the price, well it kills my idea of a 9 Robodeathstar--but I'll still get a few.
Two maniples of three sounds like a plan. 27 shots per unit (before protocols) is still a respectable ammount of dakka.
Bonus points for psychological comfort, too. Having those ~200$ spread over two units helps me keeping up with the illusion that I'm still in control of this hobby

I think my problem with them is that they don't look like robots.
Forgeworld's versions look like robots. These guys look like power-armoured Ogryn.
I like the rest of the range, but the Kastellan (seriously?) is a miss.

I think they look very much like robots, just not grimdark 40K robots, which seems to be a lot of peoples problem with them. I personally like them, and feel they'll fit fine with my current converted Legio Cybernetica, but I recognise that they don't fit with the rest of the range's aesthetic.
