@QuarterDime: Yeah, German has 'genders' for objects- it's kinda like how a ship is a 'she' and the like, only it's for the words, not the things the words represent. And so you get the odd situations where words like Mädchen (which means girl) is actually a Neuter word, as opposed to being feminine- and situations where two words are exactly the same except for their gender- so you have to intuit which of the words it is by how they're referring to it with other words- Lake and Sea are both "See" in German (pronounced 'zeh'.)
Aside from that, yeah German would be the easiest language for an English-speaker to learn, since the grammatical structures are pretty much identical.
GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

Since we are on language topic right now, I would just like to say that German language is in my humble opinion the perfect language. There is no other language (not counting far east since I dont know those) which can describe something in such detailed manner so you are not wondering what was intention of the speaker or writer.
It is language of law and engineers.

The Cult Mechanicus codex is not on the release schedule for pre-orders this week, so exactly how these new units we have been seeing will be fielded is still up in the air. It can only be assumed that the codex will come with next week's pre-orders, as we are getting some early insight to the Cult Mechanicus Detachments.

the detachment for cult mechanicus gives you a reroll for warlord traits and to reuse a canticle of omnissiah once per game.
the detachment allows for a lot of the new kataphron units with up to 8 troop choices! thats going to be a crap load of shooting.
it looks something like this
compulsory 1 hq and 2 troops
optional 6 troops, 4 elites, 2 heavy support, and 1 fortification

That may well be true.
'Er ist ein Freund.' Means 'he is a friend.'
'Er ist mein Freund.' does not mean 'he is my friend', but instead, 'he is my boyfriend.'
German is funny.

I'm still holding off on preordering. As a codex with only 6 units, we've seen 3. I love all 3. But, if Electopriests and the HQ are bad, then I'll find it quite difficult to buy a codex where I only want to use half of it.
That's honestly why I don't have Skitarii. I love, love the troops (Rangers and Vanguards are so great!), and I like the Onagers (despite the insane price per model cost), but the chicken walkers and Rustalkers/Infiltrators never wowed me.
I'll probably end up getting AdMech if it means I can run Robots + Vanguard + Destroyers/Breachers.

Blegh, both force orgs for Skitarii and the rumored Cult one dont have a LOW slot, true Cult can actually be ran as a CAD, but doesnt get the cult specific goodies

The new Knight codex has a detachment of 1-3 Knights, so you can just use that.

I had a look at the White Dwarf today at my FLGS. Really nice models IMO. Plus the Paint Splatter section has a pretty nice method of painting servitor flesh.

You can't slot-in a Knight to an existing LoW slot in a non-knight detatchment anymore. You have to use the Knight detatchments to add them to your army now.

I think you'd be waiting on FW to update their PDF to run them in a battleforged army anyway. There's no Admech, Skitarii, or IK on their PDF. Otherwise I would have suggested allying the minimum 1 LoW Knight detachment to your force and just using that slot for a Titan (it's a LoW slot after all).

Wasnt aware you could use that LOW slot for LOW that are not knights
But yea, FW technically hasnt updated admech, but as theyre a "Army of the Imperium" id count it as a LOW for that

The Knight detachments have nothing but the standard "All units in detachment have the X faction" that most FoC detachments have. So if they update the PDF and add LoW choices for the IK the IK could take multiples of them.
