With the festivities going on for the New Year's holiday, I thought I'd start one of those "resolutions" threads about the hobby. That having been done, what are your hobby resolutions for 2015?

Mine are as follows:

Spend no more than I did in 2014. Check my sig and you'll see things got a little bit out of hand in previous years but settled down in 2014. I'd prefer to keep it that way in 2015.
The usual "finish painting my rats/ogres/marines" resolutions.
Become more active in non-GW games.

Got that one done. If and only if 8ed comes out and it is not SNAFU/FUBAR like the current GW products, I try it out this year

Not to go to any tournies for any games (DzC could be an exception 50-50)

Finish my current projects before buying any new stuff.

Collecting and playing Cryx with two lists, eShade and eGaspy, at the competitive level.
Playing the new BA and the new Crons at the competitive level and attending apoc games every two months or so.
No 40k purchases up to the new Crons if any.

Play more Flames Of War
Build more armies for said game
Paint everythig i own of figures, terrain and what not.
Build more terrain

Use a different Malifaux master each month. I've got about 10 I haven't played yet, since as much as Hoffman or McCabe or Tara interest me I find myself defaulting to Seamus So I've resolved to use at least one new master each month. January's hpefully going to be McCabe, if I can get him painted in time for Wednesday!

Finish this Heldrake conversion.

Finish my Death Marshals, get a playable Tohaa army painted, and finish off the last of the GW odds and ends I kept after I sold off the bulk of my collection.

To get my Skaven army painted this year. The number of clanrats is a killer and I have been putting it off long enough.

Paint something.

Keep the purchases Malifaux relevant.
Unless it to s SoB, no GW purchases.
Finish the damn terrain.

Keep KS backing down to a minimum, finish buying Roman and Greek armies for HC/KoW and finish purchasing my various forces for BA before the Government drops the hammer and starts charging GST on imports. Try to play and paint more without burning out.

My painting target in 2014 year was 365 models. I was well on the way before I hit burnout at the start of October, so I finished with 319 things finished/completed. Target for 2015 is firstly to beat 2014, and secondly to hit 365. Gonna be hard since I'm on Christmas holidays and spending all my time playing computer and videogames so far. We'll see how it goes.

Or alternatively, dont buy a new game system or atmy until you are done with the last.

Buy nothing, paint everything.

Which is not an easy task, since I acquired a lot through sales and some big lot buys this year.

Fired my airbrush up for first time ever today. Pretty cool.

2 hours painting a day.
Learn how to use an airbrush.

Paint my ultramarines army, atleast build and get started on all the terminators I have for my UM first company army.

Paint my daemons. It's only like, 20'plaguebearers a guo, a few daemon princes, and a lord of change. And one of the daemon princes is already done!

Finish my 2500 point empire army.

Finish my 2000 pt Knight army.

Cry when 8th 40k invalidates my army lists I just painted up.

I have a list of all the things I need to paint in my Hobby Blog. Long story short its a flames of war force, An Infinity force and some Samurai.

This year I am unlikley to buy much unless it augments the armies I am already working on or is terrain or rules to use with the armies I am already working on.

So I guess my resolution is to buy very little and get a heafty dent into my painting backlog.

1) Buy no more games that require models to be painted until I have painted what I do have.

2) Complete painting up at least one of my 40K armies (beside my Tau)

3) Get a few games of Warhammer Fantasy in (at least 3)

4) Finish all the missions in the various Zombicide boxed sets.

5) Cut down on my spending and enjoy what I already have.

1. Sell off all that's left of my malifaux
2. Sell off what's left of my dropzone commander
3. Sell off what's left of warmahordes
4. Finish painting my new flesh tearers and add to it through the year
5. Actually get some games in
6. Build and paint all my scenery

I'm going to enjoy my hobby no matter how much companies like Palladium try to ruin it! They make GW look amazing!

A simple one for me: base everything I paint. Something I've neglected for years, but in 2015, it's not done until it's standing on something that isn't plastic.

In also going for 365 minis in a year, but won't beat myself up if I don't get that done. 27 in 4 days is a good start there, though.

Oh man.

I think I'm going to copy that resolution. In fact, my resolution is to repair and base all my painted LOTR stuff this year, and get it in a condition where I'm happy to show it off.

1. Finish off Hissys Hive finally.
2. Run some themed 40k campaigns.
3. Assemble paint Knight Titan and Shadowswords.
4. Finish off my Orks.
5. Retouch up Revenant Titan.
6. Hope GW dont do Admech or a really good Necron release
7. Find a shelf home for models that dont have one yet.
