The Rumour mill is buzzing that Sisters are going to get an update this year which got me excited... and then I realized that it might just be a Codex update and nothing else... and it might just be another digital Dex. :( Can a guy hope? Could this finally be the year the Sisters get their due? In any case, GW is not getting as much money out of me as they could cuz I don't want to build a whole army in metal and then have plastic BSS's and Penitent Engines drop...

I mean, the range is such that GW could do the whole update (basically) with three kits (PA Sisters with alternate legs/jump packs for Seraphim, Repentia, and a Rhino/Immolator/Repressor/Exorcist), I really have no idea why they haven't jumped at it already.

I think it'sd questionable but IMHO if we don't get something this year, I'd say the range is proably dead

Kidding, I would actually like it if they gave the sisters some attention. Always liked the premise and the fluff, just rarely comes around.

A nonzero number but not very likely. But, then again, GW is releasing Skitarii so... maybe they're really trying to make sure all of the major factions get TT representation. Or maybe what GW does is inconsistent and illogical from an outside perspective.

They would be chestless marines. We all know that armor designed for women have pointy breasts, because historically, this has always been done, right? When has Hollywood ever portrayed female armor otherwise, and wood the movie studios lie about history?! Never, I say.

Unfortunately true, sisters has a tiny model range needed, yet got no plastics in so long its getting absurd.
Heck, even getting finecasts would have been a step up in this point.


They don't even need that many weapons. a single kit can cover base sisters, celestians (not that they matter), dominions and retributers by simply having 9 girls, one leader set (power weapons, etc), a strombolter, a heavybolter, a melta, a multimelta, a flamer and a heavyflamer.

3 heavies and 4 specials (3 and storm bolter honestly, its not the same.) in one kit is quite alot, but its doable. some of the newer kits have similar count (heck, sternguard has similar count for a 5 man kit)

From rumors (what little I've seen) I've seen one 2015 claim and two that lean more towards 2016.

Either way I have some money I'm setting aside for an eventual release, or to spend on something else if Sisters finally get updated or dropped. Either way it's a win win for me because either I get Sisters or I have saved up some money for something else.

Tbh, I consider them stuck in limbo between being squatted and kept as a technicality, so they can preserve their IP rights.

I wouldn't put the chances of Sisters (as in, proper Codex and possibly new miniatures) above 1%, if that. 0.1%? Probably still too high.

In other words, not entirely impossible, technically, but not gonna happen for any practical purposes or considerations.

If we see a rewritten Warhammer Fantasy Line, maybe there is less 40k coming?
Like just a few small releases maybe? A single box here, limited run digital material there, etc.

The possible Harlequin and CSM stuff isn't a big release and sisters would be in the same spot looking at this rumor.

It does set well with the "update everything big to be 7thworthy, than put 40k on low fire while fantasy gets recooked" plan that has been mentioned before.

I'd give it about the same as every other year. As one poster has done, set aside from money in case it ever does happen, we don't know anything more than a month out even with the rumor mill anymore. Last year's rumored timeline was way off by the end of the year.

The chances for new sisters? I'll say the same thing that I say every year: Maybe next year

Ugh I hope so, I've got ~$200 worth of Sisters sitting in my GW cart that I want and which I wouldn't feel bad about if they got updated (special weapons, Hospitaller and Immolators, so nothing that would get a real major update). Even if there was some reasonable 3rd party proxy, but nothing... :(

They did loads of stuff for them in the last Supplement but no rules - if they had done the latter would have been more hopeful..................

One of my many vices is buying scratch-off tickets. I'm one of those fething idiots that literally throws their money away. The odds of winning big on one of those things are very, very, very small.

Not even I would bet money on Sisters getting updated this year, or even the next. That's how fething slim the odds are of this happening. GW would rather spend a million dollars on fething paper for their frivolous court case against Chapterhouse than give this army the time of fething day. And I'm going to stop right there because just thinking about it is making me legit mad. This company is so fething stupid it pisses me off.
