7, it's a damn good turn but Jesus... I would prepare yourself cause it's gonna get real.

I'm prepared, and I'm also prepared for potential time traveling shenanigans.

Not just that, but the cocktail sticks jammed into people's legs and almost someone's eye was pretty fething dark. On the plus side it's gone up a notch in my list for this season's releases.

I very much disagree with that. G Gundam is IMO the worst show in all of Gundam.

Then again, I love SEED.

Edit: My Crunchyroll app isn't loading my queue on my tablet, so I started to watch War in the Pocket... it's not great so far.

So here's a question: Has anyone here watched any Cardfight Vanguard? It's sure being pushed pretty hard in the advertising side of things- but does it live up to the hype? Normally I'd not even think such a thing about a card-fight anime, but I've seen Kaijudo, which is actually pretty refreshing, and surprisingly decent as a show.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

Same. The current story is extremely kick ass. The problem is you only get like two episodes of it, then five episodes of flashback filler. The Manga Is Finished! You don't have to keep dragging out the anime with filler so avoid catching up to it!

Maybe the anime studio is hoping that Kishimoto wants to continue the story?

Yeah, I stopped watching that too. I watched a lot of the filler as it went, but then I dropped an entire arc or two of it... too much inconsequential stuff. Waiting till crunchyroll has all of it before I go back to watch, then I'll resub for a week or two till i'm caught up (and done).

Hmm I've left quite a few shows 50-90% done lately, not sure what's with my interest. I guess I'll go pick off a few of those.

Shimoneta is getting better and better. This week's "Rape" scene was pure gold The way Anna calmly walks away and spits his zipper out, damn, that was badass

Started FMA: Brotherhood, Jesus this is better than I remember from 2003. It flows so smoothly that I've torn through 15 episodes without feeling like I'm forcing myself through it

Yeah, brotherhood is A LOT better then the original in pacing as well.

Brotherhood also has some really nicely animated fight scenes. Especially where philosopher stones are concerned. I swear they spend more money and get different artists/use different techniques for those few episodes. Think I noticed that during Naruto too.

I was too young to notice pacing issues for anything that wasn't DBZ.

Huh, found Fate/stay night: Unlimited blade Works which seems to be the direct continuation of the last one I watched. While I suspect it's going to still be SRS Bidness, the younger characters make me hopeful it will be a little less doom/gloom than the previous run. And even if it is that way, the fight in the first episode alone is worth some slack.

The last one you watched was Fate/Zero right? If so, yes it's a continuation of the series. Also it is pretty gloom and doom, but I think less so than F/Z because Urobuchi's writing style is all about fething with people mentally (he wrote Madoka Magica Psycho-Pass) while Nasu isn't as extreme as Urobuchi.

I can't find myself watching the Fate series though... It probably has something to do with me finding Urobuchi to not be to my tastes

UBW was designed more or less as a sequel to Fate/Zero -the anime not the VN route- and is balanced on the optimism/cynicism scale. Fate is more on the optimistic side, and Heaven's Feel is... Heaven's Feel.

Still hopeful for that redone Fate route (I'm probably one of the few people who will defend the DEEN version, but is it so wrong to want more Ilya and Saber?)

We're the hero Dakka needs, not the hero it deserves.

Also no idea when the second half of UBW will be on netflix. Sure they tell us what they're dropping, but do they tell us what they're picking up and when?

I actually don't know. I mostly use crunchyroll anyway.

Not Actually anime, but based on one so...

Just got done watching the Attack on Titan movie, which is up online if you know where to look.

coughlevidiadotcomcough

Overall I don’t think it’s as good as the anime series. The shorterness of it, everything being dark and gritty, and the lack of anime hair makes it hard to keep track of some of the who’s who of the characters I think. Plus some of the story changes are weird.

One great thing I Will say is Holy feth the titans are some serious nightmare fuel. Like seriously, the titans in the anime as soothing kittens compared to these creepy ass monstrosities. The only real drawback to their presentation is the usual cliche of being silent and invisible if they’re not on screen so they have the weird ability to sneak up on people despite the huge amounts of noise they constantly make when they Are on screen.

Also the world and everything in it is made out of metal drums. BOOM BOOOOOOMMMM!

I'm pretty hype for the attack on titan film (s). 1) Japanese body horror 2) those titans aren't cgi...

The only problem is that we have to wait until the second film comes out for a complete story.

If you played World of Warcraft when The Burning Crusade was released, you'd know titans are master ninjas.

Ok, if you haven't played: That giant monstrosity was the Fel Reaver,a being so massive it made the ground shake. He was a fething ninja. Many were the times when a player would only realize his doom was upon him when the ground was shaking and suddenly *BAM* instant killed.

The animation quality whenever Madara is on screen seems to be ten times better.

Lol at the giant pillow snake Kind of curious as to why they're in what appears to be an office meeting room as opposed to a regular room (the kind that have beds that go with pillows?) but amusing nonetheless!

Yeah Madara and often sasuke/naruto. Or well more like sasuke+naruto.

Fel Reavers were friggen chumps... Skating around on the ground like it was ice and just appearing out of nowhere...

So Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou just took a very interesting turn. Its fanservy as all hell which franky I don't have an issue with, I know many people do though, but the tone suddenly shifted to feeling very serious but quickly reverted back. I feel theres too many characters to really follow at this point. I remember all the names bar the mermaid monster and the 4 under control by Smith. Still its a good laugh I think and will continue to watch it.

Overlord, oh dear tepisode 7 had me laughing. Who would have thought that Virtuous King of the Forest is actually

Spoiler:
a giant hamster

These are probably the main 2 anime series I will be watching this season. Though I have heard Gate is a mash up of fantasy/modern day which sounds interesting so may watch that at somepoint.

When the rich rage war it's the poor who die

Armies I have: Chaos Space Marines, Tau, Necrons, High Elves

Armies I want:Lizardmen, Warriors Of Chaos, Dark Eldar

Armies I may get: Dark Angels, Tomb Kings, Vampire Counts

Gate's premise was interesting as hell, and it continues to be above average, but I just don't give a fat frog arse about gothlolita characters, to the point that they're beginning to tick me off...

I would enjoy Gate SO MUCH MORE if Rory was a slightly different archtype.

Aren't you exagerating a bit? The way you said it, it sounds like Rory has been a major player in the show. She hasn't really done much besides wasting some fools, the mage has been much more important with her work as an interpreter.

The elf is the one who hasn't really done nothing so far.
