And Prison School... damn, I never thought this anime would have such an awesome cast. The "Bro" moments that happen are amazing, first it was Gakutou last week after doing what he did, I almost shed manly tears after witnessing such a bro move, but today, eh, it just keeps getting better.

It could be worse. The author originally wrote online and got a publishing gig. They made him tone down the nationalism for print.

Ok, I just thought of a reason why they didn't have night vision - they were trying to make it look like a kidnapping by terrorists / thugs / whatever.

It wouldn't make that much sense for a bunch of punks to have high tech military gear, and those two guards did say that you can find most of their gear in akihabara (apparently).

Still, in that case the line should have been "I wish we had better equipment then this gak" instead of "ohmurgard deez guys are so much betta den' us."

Since officially the US and Japan are allies (and thus this mission was completely off the record) there's a fan theory floating around that the Americans are low-tier PMC's (like Blue Sun from Mass Effect tier.)

Caesar Ops, (where an ally attacks another ally for one reason or another) are all about plausible deniability. The German Fallschirmjaeger squad that got killed destroying a nuclear weapons lab in Wyoming in the early 80s weren't exactly carrying their usual G3s and MP5s.

I also wouldn't give low grade terrorists too much credit. Hadji hasn't managed to get much, if any, thermal, night or infared vision devices, and they have some very, very wealthy friends bankrolling them.

In the complete opposite direction, I'm just watching last week's Shimoneta... Japan is fething incompetent in that world, so anime is at least balancing itself out .

Example: The new character from the Decency Squad removing basketball hoops, ping pong balls, lengths of rope for their non-intended use but keeping "Please Don't Hate my Banana" is totally fine because it's a sublime textbook of philosophy and psychology...

She's... like a robot. Every time they said "No, this is fine" she'd just go "Ok, I'll update this information and remove this from the "naughty" list".

I can't handle crunchyroll adds, I either have to have the pro subscription or watch elsewhere.

Adblock blocks the ads on Crunchyroll for those that watch on their computer.

I've never seen mention of Animefreak.tv on here. Does anyone else use it? I've had really good luck with it.

I showed TheDraconicLord the anime site I use but I don't know how legit it is. It was closed down for a time until it changed it's ending from .com to .eu. Like I said I'd say but I don't know if the mods would approve. It's all streamed of the latest anime and older ones and only one commercial before the start of each episode (not sure how it is for movies). The ads around the side are typical ads with mini-games and booty-licious/boob-a-licious women in supposedly adult rpgs which probably suck as far as games are considered.

It's not the twist I was expecting, but you knew something was coming. They've been dropping too many little hints and stuff. I was expecting;

I knew something was off when Mao's brother came back, though I had no idea he would play such a big part.

As a plus we got to see Mao actually smile, so I guess thats a given.

I'm quickly wishing that I found Charlotte in 5 weeks so I could just binge the whole thing. Though this might be what gets me to check out Angel Beats.

Charlotte is written by Jun Maeda, author of Clannad and Angel Beats. I avoided AB because I didn't want/need a feels anime, but I'll be watching it.down the road.

When you want a feels anime, Angel Beats will fill that void. Not quite to Clanned levels though.
