Keep it simple and short, I have several ideas to help improve the elites within the marines codex, and other codices that use the C:SM elite units. (VV, sterns, terminators)

Here it is-

Sternguard, keep same except drop their attack profile down to 1, increase BS to 5

Vanguard Vets- Simple, increase WS to 5, possible add 1ppm

Terminators- increase WS and BS to 5, Tactical squads may take 2 heavy weapons per 5 terminators, keep at regular price (200 base)

I think its quite simple, fair, and would make them better overall while still being fairly balanced.

You know, I'm usually dismissive of the incessant "Space Marines are too weak!" threads, but with the pumps to WS/BS characters have been receiving for the past couple of editions I wouldn't be against an across-the-board increase in a few places, use a bit more of the spectrum. Aspect Warriors could also use WS/BS5.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

I haven't fought many eldar players, so I won't comment to much, but iirc aspect warriors or, the leaders, get +1 to WS and BS don't they?

I could see striking scorpions becoming WS 5 base, and dark repears BS5 as well.

I wouldn't even drop attack profile for sterns, to be honest. They're still veterans. Just a slight prise increase like 1-2 ppm for bs5 would be reasonable. And 1 ppm for WS5 for vanguard as they're allready quite rare. Could be also affecting Chaos Chosen. However, Chosen are showing off better than VV on tabletop as they're more versatile and have different effective uses.

The reason I'd say drop the attack profile to 1 is for internal balance really, instead of costing more for more attacks and BS they are more focused on shooting. It also lets VV shine a bit more, as they are now clearly the melee oriented veterans who train more with blades.

Tldr- it gives reasons to take VV rather than just using Stern as slightly weaker VV with better shooting.

Krieg! What a hole...

Chosens could pay to get either +1 WS or +1 BS.

Craftworld Aspect Warriors are WS/BS4, Exarchs (sergeants) are WS/BS5. Incubi (DE Aspect Warriors) are WS5/BS4, Klaivexes (Incubi Sergeants) are WS6/BS5.

Don't be silly, only marines will get the buff because they 'deserve' it more.

The blatant and un-needed marine hate is real

Did I just read a suggestion for an Eldar buff? I think we all know/hope which direction the next Eldar codex will be going in...

You read a suggestion for a buff to the least-used units in the Codex, yes.

Aspect warriors are not not used because they are bad. No assualt vehical kind of rules out banshees or striking scorpions, reapers are great but they aren't wraithknights or warwalkers, and dire avengers are used frequently and are awesome. Harlies have great stats but aren't used I don't know why. Probably because warlocks are considered better?

If you have nothing positive or constructively critismic to contribute to my posted thread I would ask you to please leave and not bother posting non-relevant posts.
