Why would making it dark make it better? I've had gaks that have been pretty dark before but that didn't always make them my best ones.

Because the very best Zelda games had a dark theme to them. Majora's Mask, Ocarina of time, and Twilight princess all had a dark tone.

None of these had a very happy go lucky story.

twilight princess was dull and one of the worst ones. Majora's mask is amazing, but no TV show could do it justice. OoT is not as good without nostalgia glasses. Windwaker and Link to the Past, Arguably the best, had a more light hearted tone.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

The soundtrack would be more or less impossible to screw up though. It's always what I've liked the most about the Zelda games in general, especially OoT, WW, and TP.

So with all the nerd-brains here I find it hard to accept that no one has brought up the April Fools "Zelda" movie trailer IGN did a few years ago.

It looks like something that sooo should have happened by now.

Hopefully Netflix hires writers and directors that get the source material and don't do the Hollywood screw-around crap they usually do.

Thats cool.

I've been impressed with some of the stuff they have made so far. Orange is the new black is good, as well as Bates motel.

I respectfully disagree, about Twilight Princess (and so does Metacritic, it scored higher than the Windwaker) and I also Disagree about OOT.

I feel those two would have the best chance of having their story-lines turned into a TV show as well, and have a very broad appeal.

Yeah, Twilight Princess was awesome. And not just because it had great graphics and the wii remote controls.

I personally didn't care for the wonky Wii controls in twilight princess, but the game itself was really solid and well done.

Yeah I had Twilight Princess on the Gamecube, but as far as I know, you can hook a Gamecube controller into a Wii and it works.

It's only being compared to game of thrones because anything remotely fantasy/medieval tv show/movie is being compared to game of thrones, regardless of the actual genre, plot devices, or tone of the piece.

Yup you can, at least with the regular wii. I don't remember if the wii-u is compatible with gamecube controllers.

Doesn't the WiiU have its own old fashion controller?

Its sort of cross between a gameboy and a regular controller. But it also can use regular wii controllers too.
