I really like the 'new' Assassin rules, they're quite powerful IMO and I'd really like to use a Vindicare or Callidus (I don't often face psykers so the Culexus isn't that good and I think the Eversor just isn't good enough... although I'll eventually get it of course )

But, to get to my question, do you guys know any good alternative models for a Vindicare and maybe a Callidus? I really like the Vindicare model with the skull under his foot, but GW doesn't seem to have that one anymore. I've seen the Hexa sniper or something from Infinity, but I'm afraid the difference in scaling etc. will make it look out of place with my SM army.

So, any ideas are welcome

Depends on what army you'd want them to support. Somewhere on this forum there was a dude that made all four for their Necron force, and it was pretty cool.

I use the Nisse Sniper from the Icestorm box (Infinity), I like the model much better. http://tomschadleminiatures.blogspot.com/2014/08/infinity-operation-icestorm-nisse-sniper.html for a well-painted one.

@alanmckenzie: OK model, don't really like it though. Personal tastes
@Slayer-Fan123: They'll be used to support Space Marines and Space Wolves, maybe Imperial Guard in some distant future.
@AnomanderRake: that's a pretty cool model! Don't really like the armour though, IIRC Assassins only wear the synskin thingy so armour seems a bit out of place. I'll keep it in mind!

What do you guys think of the Nikoul Ambush unit: http://infinitythegame.com/store/articulo.php?o=3&b=hexa+sniper&id=2339

Although it has some armour, I think it's pretty cool and the base is really nice too. The only things I dislike are the head and gun, but I can always swap those out.

As said, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Regarding that TGitG mini, somehow high heels seem like a poor choice for someone who goes into combat on a regular basis...

The pose on that model is ridiculous, the bowed legs are just just stupid. That's just my personal tastes though.

Deathstroke from the Batman board game might work as a Vindicare.

Personally I don't think Infinity models fit into 40k. They're too sleek and clean as opposed to the clunky gothicness of the Imperium. YMMV of course but each has quite a distinctive style that don't mesh together. You could always convert one, maybe something DE for the synskin sleek killer look?

I have been thinking about that, maybe a Dark Eldar Warrior with a Militarum Tempestus helmet? For the Exitus rifle I think a SM sniper rifle will do.
As for the Callidus, what would you suggest? A DE thing might do for this one as well, any other ideas?

And thanks to everyone who responded

I use a Vostroyan Sniper (the one in the foreground with the goggles) as an alternative model:

I made this Vindicare and Culexus out of DE bits. I made the Vindicare pretty quickly and I was a bit short on bits so I'm sure you could do a better job. Basically it's a Scourge torso with a Wych head (Spy Mask) and a Dark Lance with the middle section cut out for the gun. http://s2.photobucket.com/user/Ryuken87/media/2014-11-27190849_zps4e1e3129.jpg.html

For a Callidus DE bits work great again (maybe some of the new Harlequin bits will be good too). You could go with a Wych body/legs and the Scourge head with the ponytail. Similar to this: http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/photopost/data/575/DSC00851.JPG

@Boniface: IIRC Assassins are part of the Imperium for all intents and purposes, including Allies.

@ClockworkZion: I'd seen those too, but the clothing doesn't really suit the Assassins IMO. The helmet is awesome though

@Ryuken87: Wow, those look pretty damn good! I think I have found my inspiration, if I can convince my friendly neighbourhood Eldar/DE player to trade bitz that is Thanks for the examples!

I can understand the whole "infinity doesn't work in 40k" argument, but I think this guy could make a pretty great starting point to stick some bitz on. (plus he's all squatted over and crouched down, so any scale differences wouldn't be so apparent)

He is wearing a cloak and being painted in Camo, but I just use him as a cool elite sniper model. Plus I play Sisters. "Subtle" isn't a word I know.

They don't even appear to be heels. Just standing on her tiptoes, which is even dumber.

Raging Cheesecakes' models are so awful.

What's with the reverse sickle mag? Magazines are curved because rounds are narrower at the point than at the back and you can store more in less space with a curved magazine. A backwards curving magazine defeats the purpose. Less capacity, more space, lol.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?
