Could someone here kindly post some examples of the Alpha Legion actively helping the Imperium? I haven't come across any fluff like that and I'm curious.

Do you mean in 40k?
Yea, anytime after they officially turned traitor. So I guess anytime after the Dropsite Massacre.

And the Angels of Darkness descended on pinions of fire and light... the great and terrible dark angels.
He was not the golden lord. The Emperor will carry us to the stars, but never beyond them. My dreams will be lies, if a golden lord does not rise.

I look to the stars now, with the old scrolls burning runes across my memory. And I see my own hands as I write these words. Erebus and Kor Phaeron speak the truth.

My hands. They, too, are golden.

Well in Scars, after the Dropsite Massacre, an AL fleet hold the White Scars up long enough for them to receive communication from Terra, so they have a better picture of what's going on. And I think in Serpent Beneath, the destruction of the Tenebrae system (that's what it's called..?) helps the Imperium?

Interesting... what about 40k? Have they completely given up helping the Imperium?

Spoiler:
In Seventh Serpent, there's a group of loyalist Alpha Legionnaires trying to get in contact with the Imperium, apparently have sensitive information they're trying to share. Unfortunately, Alpharius successfully hunts them down using some survivors of the Drop Site Massacre manipulating them into believing they're hunting down Alpharius while he himself is disguised as Iron Hands 10th Company Captain Meduson. It's implied that the loyalists are led by Omegon... Unless it turns out that the Alpharius in the story is actually Omegon in which case it would then be implied that Alpharius has returned to the fold...

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

"And what if I told you the Wolves tried to bring a Legion to heel once before? What if that Legion sent Russ and his dogs running, too ashamed to write down their defeat in Imperial archives?" - ADB

I don't know much past the heresy, sorry!

I need to reread it. I did not get it at all when I read it and it makes a lot more sense now.

No worries, you have both been very helpful. Thank you, brothers!

From Feat of Iron (Primarchs anthology).

This is from when Ferrus walks through a cavern with statues of the twenty primarchs.

The visage of a third [statue]was split in half, like Janus of old Romanii legend. Two masks, not one, gazed at primarch. But it was a mistake to think of Janus as having only two faces, for he had many.
