I want to give my custom Chapter Master a HUGE sword to represent the optional relic blade.

The problem is that, short of veeeeeery carefully cutting and gluing two power swords together (which sounds terrifying), I don't know how I will model something sufficiently terrifying.

Does anyone have any advice? I am open to purchasing an after-market bit from a third party site.

Thanks,
-RD

Well, you can always grab a bit of sprue and whittle one down, make a few for practice. Should be really easy actually if you have decent model files. Just glue the blade bit to a suitable handle.

Grab a sword off a bigger model. Easiest way is to use a Terminator weapon; the GK Terminator kit has some great oversized broadswords.

Actually the dark Angels have a great selection of larger swords. Maybe even a WFB sword will work? A halberd tip maybe?

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

What about the dark vengeance captain? They're usually pretty cheap on eBay & comes with what sure looks big enough to be a relic blade.
