kooaei, Not to discount your mathhammer, but could you run it again, this time where the zerkers are equipped with chain axes for ap4 and are being led by a dark aposthal, or whatever the CSM chaplain equivalent is. I think a list with a 20 zerker blob with a chaplain and maybe cypher all infiltrated in by huron could be a serious threat to most any necron strategy

I think spawn would be better at targeting everything but the wraiths. Wraiths chew through spawn with ease due to being strength 6 and spawn lacking a save.
Actually I just bought one on Ebay the other day and plan on buying another one in a few weeks. With the ET: Archaon going up for preorder this week and GW finally getting around to releasing a new BT model, all my funds are currently tied up in fantasy. But i will get around to buying another one here in a few weeks.

He played me yesterday using the new reclamation/decurion (whatever improves your RP to 4+) formation and rofl stomped me at 1500 pts.
The list he presented was as follows: 10 warriors footslogging, 5 immortals with teslas, 5 scarabs, a spyder, 6 wraiths, 2 Ghost arcs with 10 warriors in each, CCB, 14 flayed ones. I'm not even sure if he was running the formation correctly as we mainly play fantasy and aren't really that familiar with the new 7th edition rules. Anyways anyone have any ideas on how to stop this list using CSM with or without daemon allies. I have pretty much every single unit in the CSM codex and also have a large CD army.
Well if that was the list he was running he skipped the tomb blade tax.

Oops sorry he did have 3 of those in his list. He was proxying destroyers for them and turbo boosting them everywhere so didn't really engage them at all. I will edit the OP to reflect this. Thanks!

That sounds like a big death star that takes up half the army and will get drowned in rapid fire gauss and then mopped up by wraiths, who don't care about AP4.

Well, chain axes would kill 2 times more warriors than without chain axes - it's simple. But getting all chain-axes is a bit list-tailoring cause chain axes rarely make a dfference other than fighting 'eavy armored orkses or cron warriors/flayed ones.

Nurgle Lord on Bike- 195 w/ Daemonheart, LC, PF, Sigil, Bike, MoN
9 'Zerks- 205 w/ VoLW and Power Axe
10 Cultists- 50
Heldrake- 170 w/ Baleflamer
5 Nurgle Spawn- 180
Landraider- 245 w/ Dirge Caster and Extra Armour
Maulerfiend- 125
Daemon Allies detachment
Be'lakor- 350
10 Horrors- 90
5 Flesh Hounds- 80
Total- 1850
What does everyone think?
You have way to few cheap objective grabbers. The land raider is a lot of points that will die quickly to 6'es. Three HQ at 1850, where one of them is be'lakor leaves you with too few units on the table imo. Why VotLW on zerkers? They're fearless anyway and the hatred is only versus space marines.

With the loss of Storm-teks, Crons don't have easy access to much anti-AV, so any Necron player relying on gauss to take down AV14 is a pretty piss poor general.
If your opponent isn't taking Doomsday Arks, Doom Scythes, Heavy Destroyers, Void Blade Praetorians, ScytheGuard or Stalkers, that Landraider shouldn't have much to worry about. Just don't let any HQ carrying Warscythes near it and it should be fine.

And scarabs, wraiths, monoliths.. I'm sure I'm forgetting some.
Half the damn codex to be precise.

Scarabs are just CC gauss, so while it's not impossible for them to do it, relying on them for anti-AV is not an effective method. Wraiths are even less effective (unless you're talking Harvest Wraiths with T.D.Beamers and an attached D.Lord, but that's hardly a cheap and easy solution like a group of Heavy D's would be). The Monolith is not even worth considering for anti-AV duty.

Spawn in general are good for tying up Necron units. If you want to go crumping Warriors and forcing the LD test, the AOBF Juggerlord is pretty effective for inflicting the casualties. Supported with Spawn and all tooled out, the unit (5 Spawn and the Lord) comes to about 320.
Lately, playing CSM I've found a lot of luck in running CSM with Crimson Slaughter allies. That way, I can smash 3 HQs into the list, along with 3 5-man units of Spawn. Usually run some combination of 1x Juggerlord w/ AoBF, 1-2 Sorcerers rolling either Biomancy or Telepathy, and 1-2 Lords tooled up either using Crimson Slaughter, or the regular loadout of LC/PF.
When I'm playing against Necrons, my goals are (1) tie up their hard hitting units with large block of Fearless cultists, and (2) pound through large Warrior units by assaulting them with Spawn and an HQ, forcing them to run and taking them down in the sweep.
