Found this amusing and somewhat horrifying that anyone would want to look like Katie Price aka Jordan. WTF

Looking a bit more like a boy at this point.

Seven years ago, Nathan Thursfield met former glamour model Katie Price for the first-time, at a book signing. The then-13-year-old was so captivated by the star that, just a few months later, he made the life-changing decision to try and copy her famous face!

In Nathan's quest to turn himself into Katie he's had dozens of treatments including Botox, fillers, tans and facials, and notched up two cosmetic procedures.

Last month This Morning went along with Nathan to film him having his second nose job. Now the bandages are off, we take a look at how that procedure went and Nathan will be on the sofa to explain why, despite already being in £20,000 of debt, he still wants more work done to make himself look like his idol.

People who are £20,000 in debt should be banned from having any non-essential cosmetic treatments carried out on themselves.

The truly sad thing is that even after spending a shed load of cash, he still looks nothing like Katie Bleeding Price

There are some necessary cosmetic procedures that are not life threatening. Like Breast Reduction, those things can destroy your body.

Breast reduction is a matter of practicality, breast enlargement is a matter of fashion.

Not all surgeries are the same. Burns victims who wants plastic surgery should get it on the NHS, someone who wants to look different can self fund.

Anyway back to the OP. What I find amoral about this type of work where the overall face is restructured is that it inevitably damages the bone structure. Sure you may look as you want, but you will become very fragile in doing so. a knock which will be a minor inconvenience to someone else could well seriously disfigure the face in the OP. While he doesnt look like he will be playing rugby anytime soon it could take as little as a fall.
I look at this as amoral because the plastic surgeons take the money, but forget to 'do no harm'. Facers like that may look 'right' on the outside, but underneath they are often ruined.

I didn't think you were supposed to say that when a person of a gender wants to look like another gender.

This feels more like crazed fandom more than a gender identity crisis to be honest though.

Some aspects of LGBT may well be mental illness, but it is legally the correct mental illness and criticising it is naughty.

The need for gender reassignment is in my opinion a mental illness. Your genetics say you ware one gender, if you dont like that then you have an issue with reality. If you want to cross fine, if you want protection fromk abuse that is also fine, but if you want gender reassignment you should fund it yourself.

Both are similar in effect. If someone wanted to be someone else, you would call it a mental condition. If someone wanted to be a different gender it suddenly becomes human rights and showered with funding. Adopting gender roles is one thing, being a different gender is something else and it doesn't work because the changes are mostly outward. Take a DNA sample of a gender reassigned person and it shows them to be their original gender.

Turns out the kid is actually gay, though at this point it seems to be heading toward transgender.

The fact that there is a gender switch is immaterial to my comment. He's not a trans person transitioning (ie, becoming his "correct" gender as his brain tells him he is, or gender dysphoria). He is obsessed with becoming a specific person which is to my lay thinking a manifestation of obsessive-compulsive behavior.

I would not consider a trans person to be mentally ill, to be clear.

What's a trans person.

Yup. Guy is a stalker nut job. Nothing against transsexuals. But this guy needs counceling. This screams that he's seconds away from wearing her actual skin over his. Unhealthy.

If he defaults on his debts can his creditors slice away the bits of his face they paid for?

It's one thing to say, I should be the other gender. It's entirely different to say I want to be them.

He may be gay or transitioning but the fact that he wants to have more surgery to look like someone specifically is the problem. Just be yourself, that's all that he should be doing.

I wouldn't have any problems if the person just wanted to look female - it's the making oneself look like someone else that's creepy to me - Being so obsessed with a person that you want to wear their face? Seems excessive to me.
All the same, as long as it's not going to hurt anyone else I don't have an issue - it just seems a bit odd.

It does seem a little like its one step away from cutting-off-her-face-and-wearing-it territory.
