In a month or two we could have a line of Adeptus Mechanicus models in our hands, which as the proud owner of a Skullz Tech Priest set (and several RT era tech priests) makes me very very happy.

So it's time for our traditional thread of completely false and made up rumors!

1-The new codex has been extensively playtested against 2 different studio armies over the course of 3 afternoons!

2-Skittari kit will have five models who can be armed with master-crafted lasguns, radiation sprayers or even neutron blunderbusses! 5 models per kit. Minimum squad size of 10. Includes 1 rad sprayer and 1 neutron blunderbuss per kit. $55

3-The vehicle is the dual kit the Adeptus Mech Doom Tarantula (tank) or the Death Spyder (transport). Both are walkers. Av11/11/10, 6" move, armed with a TL Autocannon or TL heavy bolter. No dread CC weapon. $75.

4-Collossus Battle Constructs, 5W, 2+ save with a 5++, monsterous creatures, 4 weapons each, incredible detailed kits, T4, no eternal warrior...$80

5-Tech Priest Magos, same as IG enginseer but with 3 wounds and a master crafted bolt pistol. 150 points.

I can't wait!

My best completely false rumor is that shortly after this release will be the Orkish version of the same.

It will be the rise of the new Orkish version of the the technological god, The Orkissiah. The Omnissiah it turns out, has multiple facets for differing factions, including The Dark Omnissiah of chaos and the slightly crazier Orkissiah worshipped by those loveable zany greenskins.

You won't be able to wait to see their version of Skitarii, the Orkitarii. Spiffy times are upon us.

ALL HAIL THE ORKISSIAH, TRINARY SPEAKING GOD OF ORK TECHNOLOGY. (Unlike wimpy old Binary, Orks have commands for Yes, No AND "Maybe")

They'll have a formation where you field 5 different automata, on the tabletop they can combine their power to form one really big automata with a big sword.

This will be GW's first attempt to give every unit its own supplemental book, allowing you to field a whole army of kamikaze servoskulls.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

They will have a giant steam powered spider titan piloted by Kenneth Branagh.

I know right? The Orkissiah doesn't just speak to his followers in binary either. He talks in TRINARY. 0's, 1's, and 2's for "yes, no and maybe."

He's the tech god the orks have always wanted, in a universe where rules bend and high ballistic skill just isn't mandatory anymore

I wish #1 was a made up rumor but that seems to be how they do all their playtesting. The whole chaplain vs librarian thing was enough to confirm that.

19. -1 to all of your rolls (cumulative) for each time you refer to your model as a Knight Titan instead of simply a Knight.

Uh, those are all dangerously close to making sense for a GW release......

Codex: Adeptus Mechanicus reveals that the most-advanced computer in the Imperium of Man is an Apple IIe with green-and-black monitor that's been cobbled together from various parts and runs the Palm OS.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.
