I've been using a unit of raphens death company from the deathstrom data sheets as troops for my allied detachment of blood angels.

My question is can I just use 2 of them in a normal blood angels cad or are they one per army?

Raphen himself is Unique, so you can't include more than one of him in an army. By extension, you can't include more than one Raphen's Death Company as this would entail including more than one Raphen.

Does it say they're unique?

The Unit Composition is 4 Death Company Marines and 1 Raphen. Raphen is listed as Unique.

Don't forget that Cassor the Damned is also a troops choice. So you could fill out your troop slots with Raphen's Squad and Cassor.

And remember that Cassor is also Unique. Pretty much everything with a name is unique.

Becuase Dreads and PA are not that awesome? I actually am thinking about doing the same thing.

Been doing the same thing since I began Blood Angels, with my second Troop choice as a 5 man squad in a Razorback. Nice and simple. He doesn't do much but he does more than five guys on foot. Scouts may change that though.

I've done it a few times.

Raphen's squad is too wargear intensive for my taste. They need more boys with less toys.

Cassor is ok. Blood talons are a horrible rip off on a dread, but if you're already running armor, he can bring up your saturation more.

I've used Cassor with a fast attack drop pod in a list along with the Angels Fury Spearhead. He actually works pretty well in that kind of list because you can have him charging out of his drop pod when he comes down into combat and he also fills out one of your troops choices for the rest of you points after investing in the Spearhead formation.
