Just love the stripes on the knight. Very old-school. Reminds me of the early marine schemes which definitely had their charm.

Maybe. I think its the way it overshadows the head that makes it look weird to me. It also might not be sitting quite right due to how the exhaust stacks are connected

Thanks! Honestly my inspiration was the 30k Dark Angels scheme, so they both definitely channel the old school paint job vibe.

Painted the top carapace up to see how it fits. Wasn't sure if the stripe would work or not, but I really like the end result, so much so that I even think it looks less weird now. Still fairly rough so some cleanup on the red is necessary but it's coming together well now.

Actually they're just hand painted and then neatened up (mostly) with the black basecoat. I used the the rivets as a guide, but you can see where its still a bit uneven

Thanks Crabz! That was a pretty great first game for the knight though even it couldn't stand up to RNGesus alone

Took some more pics of it, as well as my new navigator and stuff








There's still some more detail work I want to do on it, but I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.



This is going to be my count as Navigator, as the model is too swanky to pass up and it gives a nod to Octavia and her aristocratic superiority .





Finally getting started on my outrider squad, the bikes are a pain to put together though and I want to use the GW ones so its going to be a slog to get through.

There's a few more places where I could do some blue and I could do some detailing on the back as well, but other than that its done

Got some Vorax to be used with a Praeviean. As with the knight I wanted to keep them neutral in terms of scheme, though they did get a good amount of blood as Vorax are described as being extremely aggressive hunter-killer units. Really like how they came out in the same black and red scheme as the knight.

They're looking really cool, the gold on the ammo feed compliments the black really well.
