Subject: Questions about Deadzone

Got a few questions about this game, wondering if anyone can help me out.
1] Are the unit cards available for legal download or purchase outside of buying the models (I already have tons of Orks!)
2] If a unit with it burns! blazes away on enemies in a target cube, what constitutes a "hit" to cause the burning effect? Simply beating their survival roll, or actually inflicting some damage by pushing them past suppressed?
3] If a unit fights an enemy and doubles them, can it engage another enemy with the free move? If so, and it then doubles that enemy, can it engage the first enemy again by moving to their cube?
Other questions might come up but thats it for now!

Three Color Minimum

1) No you need a faction starter to play, unless you can find someone with a spare deck.
2) Beating the survive roll
3) You can do Fight, Free Fight but after that The action has to be different.
Ask away!

You can find a download of the alpha rules with cards for marauders, rebs, and enforcers if you google it. But you'll still need the battle cards deck. Right now you can get a faction starter from the kickstarter, if you know anyone near you willing to add you to their pledge manager since it's closed now.

Ebay is probably your best bet for just the cards.
Mind you, they may well drop cards with Deadzone: Infestation. At least statcards. Bit hard to tell atm.

Is there some rule about not performing the same action twice?
I'm looking at the Plague giant with those alpha cards and he is slow. If you can move - move then slow pretty much has no effect.

Nope, you cant do the same action twice per turn. Note that you *can* shoot and blaze away though.

Pretty sure he's supposed to be like the old 2nd Ed carnifex - slow, lumbering, implacable, and hard as hell to kill. Better to run than to try and hold your ground and shoot him down. I remember a bit of fluff from the old 40k brochures talking about a heavy bolter cutting bloody swathes up the carnifex just for it to get up and keep coming. That's how I view the big plague daddy.

Gross. I'd take that over aim+shoot any day

Yeah thats how we played it and I was hoping it worked like that. One square movement per turn means he will probably never actually hit anything, but he is nearly invincible and denies a chunk of the table to the enemy.
Though from what I can tell he's not all that hard to suppress. Then he can't even move that one square lol

Aim+Shoot is worth it when you have a target in the open. Clear Shot+Aim gives you 6 dice to throw, which against some enemies you really need.

This is where Command Actions and Battle Cards come in. Your Stage 1 is blundering around 1 square a turn until you get a Move card in your hand, then you take a move Action, A Command Action (possibly) and play the Move card, hitting the enemy far faster than they expect.
