Oh wow. It hadn't occurred to me that this might arrive at the same time as Kingdom Death. That's way too much stuff. I demand CMoN delay fulfillment (or expedite it) so this does not occur!

I've been meaning to ask this for a while, does anyone know how to find out who sculpted each figure? There was a list of sculptors who made contributions to the project in the last CMON email, but it didn't say who sculpted what.

Also, I was somewhat disheartened to see that Jody Siegel was involved in some of the sculpting. I would like to know which figures he had a hand in so I can avoid them if possible. In my eyes he is lower than the belly of a snake, I made a mental note to not buy any figures sculpted by him as a point of principle.

OK.. you can't write something like that, and then not explain why exactly?

Sorry! It's due to his Imbrian Arts kickstarter which took money from a lot of people (including me) and did not deliver.

I've lost track of how overdue the project is.

His endless excuses for doing no work have built up a lot of bad feeling.

I just wanted to say that closing with the Abominarat, a kickstarter exclusive large model designed and sculpted by an artist as talented as Jason Hendricks, was a class act. Earlier in the campaign I was wondering rather cynically if the especially large backer turnout / pledge total would be reflected in KS backer rewards, or if stretching out stretch goals further and further would mean they'd end up getting about the same amount as in previous Zombicide campaigns. Ideally from a consumer perspective, a campaign this successful should have trickle-down benefits.

So let's compare:

Zombicide Season 3 $150 pledge: 23 kickstarter-exclusive original sculpts, one being a large boss model (the female A-bomb.)

In Zombicide Black Plague $150 pledge: 30 kickstarter-exclusive original sculpts, two being large boss models (the Abominalpha and Abominarat.)

Then when you look at the other non-exclusive KS figures included, particularly the large Black Plague abominations, compared to what was included in Season 3, this campaign just blows what came before out of the water. Yes, Season 3 got stuff like the barricades, but next to the Abominataur?

Remarkable.

I'd say two things made this campaign for me. First and foremost is Jason Hendricks, who designed and sculpted most of the boss monsters and even sculpted a couple on his own and presented them to Guillotine games, who liked them and incorporated them. (The Abominataur and Ablobination were both on his own initiative.) Second, I'd have to say that there can be little doubt that CMON's record-breaking success was reflected in their backer rewards, and the Abominarat in particular was quite a finish for a KS exclusive model of that size and quality.

My wife still has concerns , she doesn't want to hear "but they were moaning like a zombie!" When we asked why they killed the old lady down the street who shuffles her feet when walking and constantly moans.

Fair point!

Spent my hobby budget on Zombicide and the Cnan pledge manager opens in a couple weeks. Bones I can pick up at retail the ones I want, I don't play D&D and most of my skirmish games use "nicer" figures that are decently affordable.

Hopefully Blood Rage delivers early like they hope (there was talk of having it out for Gencon). That will tide me over along with my Kings of War stuff that I still need to work on .

So, seems that something isn't quite right with the project. It's still showing as in progress for me, rather than ended, despite getting the 'project funded' email when it ended last night. They've also not taken the payment yet.

I suspect it's a problem with your PC showing you a caches version of the page, rather than the real one

As to the pledge being taken mine hasn't gone out yet either but its often taken a day or two on large projects when they used Amazon payment and evidence so far is Stripe (that they now use) is slower

My payment was rejected by the bank.
Time to get that sorted out...

My Kickstarter orders often do this. You'd think the bank'd have worked it out by now.

I had a monthly mmo subscription rejected by the bank every month for 6 years. Every time I had to call up and confirm it wasn't a fraudulent payment and then make the payment again. It wasn't even as if the amount ever changed, pointless hours on the phone and cost for the bank.

Mine was attempted last night, but blocked by the card company. Second time this year they've blocked a kickstarter payment, despite letting one through less than 48 hours ago.

Todays update has some new rules

Evil Troy
When the Evil Troy Necromancer is killed, he simply respawns immediately in his Necromancer Spawn Zone (and players don't get to remove any Spawn Zone token from the board). The only way to truly kill him for good is with a Damage 3 attack, or using Dragon Fire. Then Evil troy is removed from the game like any Necromancer (and players get to remove a Spawn Zone token).

Abominarat

This monstrosity follows all the standard Abomination rules (3 Damage to kill, gives 5 XP, armor doesn't block its attacks). But the Abominarat lives in the sewers of the town, and so it can pop up where you least expect it! When its Zombie card is drawn, you don't spawn it in the current Spawn Zone, instead, its miniature is placed 1 Zone away from the noisiest Zone on the board, in a Zone with an open passage to it (if several options are available, players choose).

Another update today:

Production marches on, and the last sculpts are showing up in glorious fashion!

Here's the first sculpt from the Gipi Optional Buy Special Guest box: the sturdy Donna Carlotta!

And here's the freaky sculpt of Doctor Stormcrow, the Kickstarter Excusive Survivor that only Knight-level backers will receive.

Raise thy Rats!

That Stormcrow sculpt is awesome, imo.

Damn, that Donna Carlotta sculpt is awesome. It captures the artwork perfectly.

I was waiting to see the sculpts before deciding on the Gipi box set, now it has become a must-buy.

I think the sculptor did a great job with the translation of the drawing to mini, I'm just not a fan of Gipi's art I guess and can pass on that box. Love the plague doctor, will have fun painting him up.

Also was just looking through my kickstarters as I'm now back from vacation and have wifi access. I think I'll be using a fair few of my Blood Rage models as "counts as" in Black Plague. The Fenrir will make a suitable alphabomination, or even the werewolf exclusive. Plus I'm thinking of creating a "gods vs. zombies" scenario so I can use all the gods from the blood rage expansion. Plus some of the monsters like the Giants could be fun heroes as well, I think one of the artist boxes had a mini-giant in it.
